Scenes for the upcoming season of The Handmaid’s Tale were being filmed in Cambridge, Ontario yesterday, so we drove up to check it out.
The show, which is based on a 1985 novel by Margaret Atwood, is about a Christian theocracy in an alternative future United States, where women are covered up and treated as property.
However, when the show premiered in 2017, it was obvious that it was making analogies to life in Trump’s America.
When we visited the set in Cambridge, we thought we’d have some fun with local fans and asked:
What if the show was based on a Muslim theocracy instead of Christian. Would it still be a success?
Watch and find out…
