July 24, 2019: Canadian author and newspaper columnist Tarek Fatah served as my guide during our journey to Washington, DC, to challenge the visiting Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan's horrific treatment of the people of Balochistan.
July 24, 2019: While Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan is in Washington, we have been driving a billboard truck around raising awareness about what's happening to the Baloch people under his control.
July 24, 2019: Believe it or not, during our mission to Washington, DC to raise awareness about the plight of the people of Balochistan, we were delighted to come by another truck protesting the Pakistani regime, this one funded by Balochistan expats based in the UK.
Have you heard of Balochistan?
Balochistan is a region that has been occupied by the oppressive Islamic theocrats of the Pakistani government since its invasion by the Pakistani army in 1948.
For years, the Pakistani government has tormented Balochistan by plundering its plentiful natural resources and by murdering and kidnapping its people.
This horrifying spectacle is continuing to this day as thousands of unlawful killings have taken place, according to human rights organizations.
And the killing has been particularly gruesome. For example, Julie Lenarz, executive director of the Human Security Centre, once described the carnage as such:
“The bodies are dumped like roadkill by the side of the road. Sometimes corpses are found piled in shallow mass graves in nearby mountains. They bear the marks of extreme torture—cut-off limbs and broken bones, ripped-out fingernails and missing teeth, mutilated genitals, bruises and burn marks, signs of malnutrition and dehydration. In some cases, they are so badly disfigured that visual identification is impossible.”
Pakistan is committing genocide!
In short: Pakistan is committing genocide in a remote region of the world that many in the West have never even heard of.
And yet, this week, Imran Khan, Pakistan’s former cricketer and playboy-turned-prime minister, has received a red-carpet welcome in Washington, D.C. for a meeting with President Trump.
Well, as you know, here at The Rebel, we can't just sit back and watch that happen.
After all, it was our very own Ezra Levant who confronted Pakistan's foreign minister over that censorious thug's clampdown of free speech in a video that has since gone viral.
We've got to keep up the pressure on Pakistan!
That's why we've decided to send our intrepid Mission Specialist David Menzies and Tarek Fatah to Washington, D.C. to challenge Imran Khan himself. We want to hold this powerful despot — the head of the judiciary-military-mullah trinity that governs Pakistan — to account.
They will be armed with a petition, which you can sign below, urging President Donald Trump to label Pakistan a state sponsor of terrorism until it ends its genocide of the Baloch people and its occupation of Balochistan.
We’ve also hired a huge digital billboard truck to roam the streets of Washington, D.C. during Imran Khan's visit to share this story as far and wide as we can.
How can you help?
We’d love it if you got involved to help us do this, because, unlike our mainstream media competitors, we’re not afraid of Islamist government censorship or intimidation from radical mullahs — we’re 100% independent and backed entirely by ordinary people.
In fact, it's this editorial freedom that allows us to speak truth to power with honesty and integrity and to ask the questions that the mainstream media refuses to.
So, if you can, please help us cover the costs of our huge digital ad truck and the travel expenses of our journalists by making a contribution. We estimate that the total cost of this mission will amount to roughly $5000, so if you can help us cover the cost of it, please do by clicking here. Thank you.
