Haroon Siddiqui’s “unintentionally funny” advice for Canada’s “anti-Muslim” media

David MenziesMission Specialist

When Canada’s biggest Islamist apologist, Haroon Siddiqui, said he had penned his final column for the Toronto Star way back in April, 2015, I figured it was too good to be true so I wasn’t surprised when he penned a sort of comeback column a few days ago.

I knew I’d love his Star yarn from the headline alone:

“Canada’s news media are contributing to mistrust of Muslims.”

It didn’t disappoint.

The column was an excerpt from a lecture Siddiqui delivered at the Aga Khan Museum in which he argued that the media have contributed to “widespread Islamophobia” by conflating Muslim terrorists with all Muslims. In doing so, he said, the media are violating their own declared principles of fair and ethical journalism.

He said the biggest culprits are the National Post and the Postmedia group of newspapers. He failed to mention Rebel.Media!

Watch as I dissect his column which begins in a weirdly incestuous way with Siddiqui asking Toronto Star associates if they agree with him about an anti-Muslim bias in the rest of the media and then simply repeats his assertion, ultimately offering helpful suggestions to the press when it comes to reporting on Islam.

Wait until you hear what he says about Rex Murphy and the CBC.

Siddiqui signs off in an unintentionally funny way describing himself as an “incurably optimistic Canadian.” How perversely ironic that a self-described optimistic Canadian is also such a shameless apologist for many in his community who reject and despise Canadian values.

But what do I know? I’m just a cog in that biased, Islamophobic media.

I’d like to make a joke about shooting the messenger but somebody out there might take it literally.

That is because Kurt I believe it is fed to us by the mainstream media which does talk about it in small doses and Rebel. With the news about Iraq and the lies from that and Saudi Arabia, the intelligence is flimsy and it proves that everything since 9/11 have been complete lies. Even the people that talk about Quran verses fail to acknowledge that 3 million Muslims that have died since 2001 from these wars. It is your choice if you choose to hate but these wars are just used to get easily influenced people to easily hate. The uniters which I would claim to be one feel that these wars have caused the migrant crisis.

Iran is no threat to anyone. They never invade anyone. They are engaging in peace through commerce through BRICS with China. Any war with Iran would be a mistake and no doubt China and Russia would probably respond.

I couldn’t care less about the “war on terror” crap. I’m talking about Islam’s war with the west that has been going for nearly 1500 years longer than that.

That’s the war you won’t acknowledge, John. This has been going on longer than Canada or America have even existed.

Most democratic nations have a separation of religion and state. Islam has no such division which is why it is so dangerous. Peter, I must disagree with your view on “peaceful” Muslims. The only difference between a “moderate muslim” and a radical muslim is the moderate will get the radical to do the killing! The outcome is the same. No muslim will stand up for another who is not muslim. That is certainly the case in Canada, and where it has been attempted elsewhere has led to threats or death by other muslims! Hence, most are content to follow the so called “Religion Of Peace”. Peace of the grave for all of us should Trudope and Islam get their way!

The War on Terror is just a jobs program with no end.

Acknowledge that. Of course you won’t it conflicts with your ideology.

Too bad that people have to be sent by governments which is a decision which the people of the nation should make and not politicians, which could care less about people serving.

@ Peter Netterville RE: point (4)

Yes there are those few- however anyone converting to Islam (yes there are different sects of Muslims – that is why Muslims are killing Muslims) pretty much knows that once “in” there are serious consequences in leaving – like being killed. However, the Islamic way of segregating themselves instead of integrating kinda speaks for itself. Here is something you need to hear:
…and there many others who have left Islam and have fatwas against them – which curiously many of our political leaders are allowing.

What has Islam been doing for nearly 1500 years, John?

Here’s a hint: it’s what the terrorists are doing now.

I am against these wars because in the end the average Muslims suffers.

These wars will not solve anything. In fact, I would say that these wars have to stop and the average Muslim should determine their own national sovereignty through voting and the West and BRICS should not play any part in determining their future.

Of course, I would not expect a right wing imperialist and colonialist and anti-third person to understand what wars create.

Do not forget that the US has launched 50+ wars since 1945. They are the most imperialist nation in the history of the world.
commented 2016-04-24 13:44:10 -0400
That is completely made up because by your language one can interpret that you seek war with Islam forever. That proves that you are a useful idiot for the military industrial complex and the weapons manufacturers.

Iran is helping in Iraq and the Kurds are trying to remove ISIS as well.

To me ISIS is a manufactured creation for war in the Middle East to remove Assad.

You fail to acknowledge that ISIS appeared after that failed vote in the House of Commons and Khorisan disappeared off the radar. Things do not just happen for the reason.

You are just a liar for the right wing to ensure they win votes off of scaremongering and fearmongering since you think that is their quickest path to power. I am 9/11 truth because it laid the foundation for wars in the Middle East.

You mentioned nothing about how Saudi Arabia is now being blamed for 9/11. What about the reason for Afghanistan? It seems to me that you glossed over that one without even noticing what I put. That war was in essence a complete lie and it is something that people usually miss now with the Senate and Congress proposing legislation against Saudi Arabia. Muslims have been the biggest victims from these imperialist wars.

All of this proves that the War on Terror is just a jobs program with no end.

Peter Netterville
I think you missed a few muslim categories such as:
Radical Islamic Jihadis.
Muslims who vocally support Sharia Law, therefore terrorism.
Muslims who are forced to support radicalism through monetary support to mosques.
Muslims who are taught to hate, commit violence and even murder as part of their religion.
The so called quiet muslims who use our laws and social support against the host countries.
The so called immigrants who are creating chaos and commit crimes to destroy western countries.

These are the vast majority. The ones who do not believe in destroying the infidel are the vast minority and live in fear.

The star columnist doesnt mention the rebel because the owners have claimed in court they employ no journalists.
commented 2016-04-24 13:28:52 -0400
John, Islam has been at war with Western Civilization for nearly 1500 years. Are you that ignorant to think it only started with 9/11? They’ve been warmongers since Mohammad said to kill unbelievers.

Amazing how progs instantly jump to the defense of people who would gladly throw them off a building at the drop of a hat. Read an actual history book.
commented 2016-04-24 13:27:43 -0400
So yes Menzies and much of the Rebel news chain want a clash of civilizations and no way to unite all people in the nation. They also want more wars to advance the imperialist agenda, and they no doubt support Syria being invaded and then Iran possibly being next.

These people are globalists and that is proof by how they talk about Russia, China, North Korea and other areas. They seek a world war.

People may not believe it but that is the agenda, and these people are chicken hawks.
commented 2016-04-24 13:24:48 -0400
Menzies is nothing but a globalist and a Zionist who seeks more wars for the military industrial complex against more Muslim nations in the Middle East. Do not forget that Muslims have been the hardest hit victims by the War on Terror. US imperialism and NATO imperialism have been the other reasons why people in the Middle East have suffered. Now, Saudi Arabia is being blamed for 9/11 when it was originally Afghanistan that we had to attack. I have to say that the West cannot stop doing wars, even though they have resulted in more problems. It does also show that Afghanistan was just about securing oil contracts and we were lied to about Afghanistan much like the war in Iraq, Libya and now Syria. How many times do we have to be lied to by these warmonger and imperialist talking heads like Menzies, Levant and Lilley? They were the same people calling for war on Syria, Libya and other places. People have such short memories but us anti-war people remember everything.

So much for them believing in any sort of higher being. They only believe in defending their chosen ideology and religion is secondary much like their supporters.

John Landry said: "
I had the pleasure of arguing with a man from the Middle East after his wife hit and ran after colliding with my car. He turned everything upside down, actually saying it was my fault because the car was parked on the road, where it is perfectly legal. I hope there are not too many of these backwards thinking people in Canada."

No worries. Trudope is importing thousands more at this very moment!

@ Keith

No. Not even one chance in infinite. I just reject the idiotic notion that 100% of all Muslims in existance on this planet only fit into the following three categories:
1) an Islamic terrorist
2) a quiet supporter of Islamic Terrorism
3) a plant in our Western society bent of changing out culture from within.

Too many people on this website are extremist in that they cannot see that there is a fourth category

4) Those that want nothing to do with the first three and just want to live their lives live every other regular person in our society; get up, get the children off to school, go to work, pay taxes, come home and enjoy their family … wash rinse and repeat.

People like Haroon Siddiqui always cry out that people who speak up about the Islamic terrorist activity are blaming all Muslims, when in fact most go out of their way to make it clear that they are not blaming all Muslims, just the fucking assholes who want to do us harm. Excuse my French.

Now having said that, there are some on this site that think that all Muslims … bar none every bloody last one of them … are at the very least quietly supporting the terrorists, or working from within to change our culture. To that I say bull shit, it is you whom Haroon Siddiqui is really whimpering about. You actually do blame all Muslims. It is because of you that people like Haroon Siddiqui blame the rest of who use common sense and just blame those that are guilty.

I vote for 2 minutes 18 seconds after they find out. 2 minutes 13 seconds to get to the tallest building they have in the area and up the stairs. 5 seconds to throw him off.

We ain’t seen nothing yet, wait until Trudeau has completed his agenda of the Islamification of Canada. One big screw up after another.

I believe in freedom of the press but I think they should only print articles that are written by humans.

The media party in Canada’s purpose is to tell you what to think, not to inform you.

If you don’t read news, you are uninformed.

If you read the media party shit, you are misinformed.

Go fuck yourself Haroon Siddiqui you islamic terrorist lover and supporter of terrorism – you are pure islamic pig scum!!!
commented 2016-04-24 12:02:22 -0400
If the facts are reported in the media as David Menzies notes, the news does not bode well for the reputation of Islam.
