A high school in North Carolina has recalled their yearbooks because of “offensive” quotes used by some students such as “Build that wall”.
According to the Charlotte Observer, only 22 yearbooks had been pre-ordered, and only a handful had been distributed before the quotes were discovered by Principal Tonya Waddell.
The Richmond Early College High School posted a statement on Facebook saying, “We regret that this incident has occurred and are currently working with the yearbook’s publisher to make corrections.
As a district, we do not and will not tolerate inappropriate conduct toward any of our students.”
Students will be reimbursed for their books, but the school won't be able to print new copies before the school year ends.
