Affirmative action fallout: University deems hiring based on merit “problematic”

The College Fix reported on a message from the University of Texas (Austin) that said hiring based on merit is a problem

This is the bigotry of low expectations. They think “underrepresented” people can’t perform on merit.

First, they create a racist admissions process that judges you based on race, not merit, taking away the opportunity for others who are more qualified, while trying to give an advantage to certain minority groups.

It actually creates a disadvantage for other minority groups, specifically Asians.

Leftists are obsessed with the idea that it's black vs. white, however, they didn’t take into account that Asians actually out-perform academically, therefore affirmative action hinders Asian opportunity based on merit.

Though I benefitted from affirmative hiring, I still figure it’s unfair. It says certain people are too stupid to be hired by private businesses so they need to be hired of their gender or skin colour. And while encouraging the hiring of disabled folks is good, judging somebody by externals is racist, sexist, unjust, and unfair.

I would like to point out the complaints that rich people in the Malibu fires could hire private firefighters to protect their properties and not everyone could.
