Horwath “blames the messenger” in fallout of candidate’s Hitler post

David MenziesMission Specialist

Last week, a 2013 Facebook post by Scarborough-Agincourt NDP candidate Tasleem Riaz featuring a photo of Hitler saluting with the quote: “If you don’t like a Rule … Just Follow it … Reach on the Top … and Change the Rule”, surfaced.

One can use a Hitler reference if for example the target of your criticism intends to carry out an act of genocide, but in this case, there were other signs of nuttiness in Riaz’s social media footprint.

In a cowardly response, she said she didn’t recall making the Hitler post, but equally appalling was the response from NDP leader, Horwath.

Apparently, because she finds it “hard to believe” the candidate she knows would say such a thing, we’re supposed to believe this post didn’t happen.

PC MPP Gila Martow rightly notes, “You don’t post Nazi messages on social media by mistake. It goes without saying that having Ms. Riaz on the ballot is offensive to every Jewish person in Ontario… Frankly, it’s offensive to all Ontarians with any sense of human decency.”

Horwath is sticking by her allegedly antisemitic candidate, and every other nutty NDP candidate we’re hearing about almost every day.

As change-famished Ontarians head to the polls next week, this is all very unnerving.

Can you imagine those two broads forming a coalition? It would be a cat fight everyday for queen bee (and one hellish nightmare for Ontario). Gawd, I hope Doug can pull this off.

Didn’t Rob have a good rapport with the unions in Ontario? Lets hope Doug has some too.

There is a great vid out there of Sue Ann Levy taking Tasleem Riaz to task over this Nazi post that is really good, but I can’t find it now. Tasleem Riaz was exhibiting epic taqiyya. Sue Ann has some chutzpah to be sure.

Wynne will probably resign on Friday morning unless there is a major miracle and reversal in trends over the next few days. That doesn’t eliminate the possibility of a coalition but the way the two ladies fought at the last debate , I doubt that it will come to pass.
That being said , organized labour and public sector unions had abandoned Horwath during the last election and they are looking to come back home to the socialist NDP .
Let’s hope there are some reasonably intelligent Liberals that will remain loyal to their party and split the vote.
Ontario will be a disaster of monstrous proportions if Horwath is Premier .

SNOBELEN: Horwath and Wynne peddling politics of fear and illusion

interest on debt is already the third highest program cost in the Ontario budget … Wynne and Horwath are not up to the challenge of asking the public service to improve. They are not ready to seriously address Ontario’s looming debt issues.
And they sure as heck aren’t going to lower taxes in any meaningful way. So the answer is more debt, higher taxes and a contented public service

With the Ontario election campaign down to its final week, NDP Leader Andrea Horwath isn’t ruling out the possibility of forming a coalition government.
Earlier in the campaign Horwath said she had “no interest” in partnering with the Liberals.

But speaking with CBC’s Ottawa Morning Friday, Horwath was far less equivocal.

“I’m going to wait until Thursday of next week to determine what the people of this province have decided, and I’ll go from there,” she said when asked about the possibility of forming a coalition.

Just like The Washington Compost , The Mop and Pail is a great pejorative for a former great paper which has become nothing but a leftist rag . Good one Robert MCCLELLAN.

Meanwhile at the far left Mop and Pail, a bit of comedy: "Trudeau gets it right-on energy, Trans-Mountain and the West. Golly, those guys at the Globe just crack me up. What a bunch of cards.

Oh my…the Red Star “In rural Ontario, the overriding mood is anger”….“A rout of historic proportions now seems imminent”. This from the Red Star, who always thought that rural Ontario starts at Bloor and ends at Steeles?

Hello……What’s This?…….Goldstein of the Toronto Sun reports “Horwath now open to Coalition Government with Wynne”? Gee….that sounds bad….really bad. Her internal polling numbers must show her support is dropping like a stone. Now she is so desperate, she wants to get into bed with Wynne, the most unpopular politician in all of Ontario? Tsk….tsk….the horror.

Is it any wonder that the NDP is bleeding popularity?

Drive-By-Aswad strikes again. I suppose if The Rebel received $1.5 Billion from the taxpayers they could hire more employees. Until then I will still get real news even if a bit late than no news at all as the CBC has provided on Tommy Robinson.

There are two kids of fake news:
1. news of commission
2. news of omission.
Both are equally fake.

WOW! The rebel is really getting up to date, this story is only one week old. At some point they may report about who the successor to Clarke as the BC Liberal leader is. Rebel…guaranteed up to the year news.

Horwath silent on sanctuary costs

NDP Leader Andrea Horwath dodged questions Tuesday about how much her campaign promise to declare Ontario a “sanctuary province” for illegal migrants and refugee claimants will cost taxpayers.

Instead, she said providing public services without asking questions about anyone’s legal status in Ontario, or co-operating with federal authorities to determine it, is the humane thing to do.

It’s unsurprising Horwath is gun shy about talking about the costs of her election promises.

Not after she belatedly admitted to making a $1.4-billion annual mistake in her fiscal plan — amounting to a $7-billion hole over five years — because the NDP mistook a $700-million annual cost item in her platform for a $700-million annual revenue item. …

Mayor John Tory last week called for emergency aid from the provincial and federal governments to deal with Toronto’s refugee crisis, saying the city may have to convert a community centre to serve as an emergency refugee reception centre as early as this week.

Refugee claimants, temporarily housed in motels, occupy 41% of the 6,500 available spaces in Toronto’s emergency shelter system, expected to rise to 54% by November, at a cost of $64.5 million.

There’s also the issue of public safety, since Toronto Police have been pressured by some councillors and special interest groups not to co-operate with Canada Border Services in deporting illegal migrants and failed refugee claimants.

Toronto Police say they have had a “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy regarding the immigration status of victims and witnesses of crime since 2006, but are legally bound to co-operate with federal authorities when criminal activity is involved. …"

Is that what Horwath calls bringing in “change” in the gov’t, by surrounding herself with questionable candidates? Should they form gov’t God forbid, Ontarians should feel really good about what their MPS will represent. If you don’t distance yourself from these people & boot them out, what does this say about that individual. I love the way, they never remember or if they do, make a half ass apology, which is not to be believed. If the NDP gets in, her voters have not learnt one thing about that party running a province, talk about jumping from the frying pan into the fire. Amen.

It’s sickening that Horwath is defending the indefensible. You can put lipstick on a pig but it’s still a pig. If ON votes for the NDP, they are doomed and will never recover. I really fear for our country. Candidates should be have to go through some kind of clearance process. Even block parents have to be cleared by the police, so why shouldn’t those who want to be elected to public office not have to go through it too? I find it very telling the national NDP leaders brother is trying to latch on to the public trough too. He obviously doesn’t like law and order. We are being invaded by the enemy!

Can someone tell me – is the following comment true.

“If the NDP win the provincial election they will make Ontario a sanctuary province.”

I was recently told this is one of their plans should they win.

I cannot verify it at this time.

“Frankly, it’s offensive to all Ontarians with any sense of human decency.”

We will see how many of THOSE Ontarian actually exist after the election.

Not many from what I have seen to date.

Now, if Ford had said that …………………………….the fur would be flying.
