Last week, Public Safety Minister Ralph Goodale said Canadians can expect tougher rules around the transport of prohibited and restricted firearms.
Goodale told Ipolitics “he was impressed by U.S. public reaction to the Parkland, Florida, shootings”.
The Liberals are allowing their legislative agenda to be set by tragedies committed in other countries.
And this week in Ottawa, Goodale is hosting a gangs and guns summit, bringing together police and NGOs to discuss reducing firearms crimes.
Will the Liberals get it right and target the criminals or do they plan to make criminals out of the law abiding the way they always do?
Joining me tonight to discuss the threatened changes to Canada’s gun laws, how Liberals use tragedy as currency and the challenges of being a woman in the firearms community is Edmonton based gun rights activist Ericka Clarke.
