How much carbon will NDP Environment Minister emit jetting to Mexico for Climate Summit?

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Host | The Gunn Show

This week there’s yet another first world climate change guilt conference as the Climate Summit of the Americas is being held in sunny Guadalajara, Mexico.

Why don’t they ever hold these things in the Canadian Arctic where it’s impossible to ignore the fact that you need to either burn fossil fuels or incinerate a pod of whales just to survive?

The Alberta government never misses a chance to preen on an international stage so Environment and Climate Change Minister Shannon Phillips has a three person entourage in Mexico for the conference: Phillips, her chief of staff and one department official for an estimated cost of $12,000.

There’s another cost in all of this. It’s not one I particularly care about but it is one the NDP think is deadly, dangerous and will end the world as we know it. So I calculated it.

Watch my video to see the amount of carbon emissions created by Phillips’ Mexican climate guilt get-together.

But it’s not all work for Phillips and her three person climate superhero posse. The itinerary for their Guadalajara junket shows their last official event wraps up Friday and they don’t fly back to Calgary until the following Monday. They’re spending the whole weekend in Mexico on our dime.

This little self promoting micro-vacay is a slap in the face of struggling Alberta families, and it’s way out of step with the green plans of the NDP.

I’m sure they have noble intentions and are staying over until Monday to be good “cultural ambassadors”…
After all Guadalajara has some of the finest Mariachi bands in Mexico and you can obtain some of the rarer estate distilled tequilas thre from Jalisco next door…. I’m sure their intent is also to aid the local economy by consuming both of the previous in ample amounts… Say it isn’t so….

It seems like only yesterday there was a climate conference somewhere on this planet.

Al Gore is looking down from his lofty mountain estate, accessible only by helicopter, saying, “The NDP are getting it! The Liberal Party is getting it! Wynn got it! Let the little ones do as we say, but not do as we do.” Then he stretched out his hand, pointed to the little people, and broke wind, releasing many green house gases upon the world for them to pay for in new taxes. And we just thought it was thunder.

What fucking business does a low-level provincial politician have in jetting around the globe banging a drum in a foreign country about climate change..
These so-called politicians seem to forget that in fact their title, their fucking job description and title is
“civil servant…” not elected royalty.
Not a jet setting globetrotter on taxpayer dollars in a time where money is so hard to get at the blue-collar level.
I don’t think the NDP realizes what an “anger machine” they have created.
November 11 is remembrance day and not one of our fallen veterans of World War I and World War II fought for their country to resemble anything what it is like today.
All of those"professional politicians" in Ottawa is guilty of high treason and should be charged, tried and found guilty and publicly executed.
They make a mockery of what our soldiers everywhere have died and are dying for.

The largest CO2 emissions in country emit from the Lib party every time they open their mouths.

It is OK she will buy a useless piece of paper, or should i say a carbon credit from some clown. It will magically negate the carbon she will produce.

David Heinze i wish every persons carbon footprint could be shown hovering over their heads numerically for a week or so. It would sure be quite telling. I recycle pretty much religiously , my toxic garbage goes to the eco station, i drive a modern clean vehicle, do not litter, and i actually walk places.
I love the earth and nature and it makes me laugh to be ridiculed and berated by the green hypocrites.

Everyone who thinks or claims that we need to do something to reduce our CO2 emissions should be required to meet my “Are You a Climate Change Hypocrite?” challenge:

One time when the REBEL is over flowing with money they could send someone that could blend in and cover these events, I’m sure it would be salacious

SHEILA you can’t go , they would only be on their best behavior

Whaaaaaat? Sheila, are you saying that these Alberta NDP socialists are not the most green people on earth as they claim to be … that they are not living what they preach to the rest of us lowlifes?

I am shocked, utterly shocked and flabbergasted!

He does not care – he is going for the party

And not thanking the tax payer for the cost of the first class ticket either

Another climate summit? Jeebus it is just one big party after another for these disgraceful environmentalists. I guess they are not completely brain dead.
