When voting on Bill 27, the Renewable Electricity Act, the NDP voted against a Wildrose amendment to make remediation and reclamation of green electricity projects part of the law.
This means all those green electricity companies that are given big incentives to move into Alberta to replace reliable, unsubsidized, coal have no legal responsibility to clean up the mess when their wild ride on taxpayer money comes to an end and they inevitably go broke. The NDP made sure of it.
Think it won’t happen?
It happens everywhere green energy is subsidized.
Watch my video to see some examples of green energy that failed when the taxpayer tap was turned off.
Alberta farmers will be dealing with rusting monsters and leaky solar panels in their hay fields because Rachel Notley didn’t give green energy the same strict reclamation rules that the oil and gas industry are required to follow.
And here I thought Rachel Notley cared about the environment.
