So far, 28 different BC Indian bands have signed on to a major liquified natural gas export project. This should bring them the kind of prosperity that Alberta First Nations bands have enjoyed thanks to the oil sands.
But rich foreign groups like the Rockefeller Brothers Fund are trying to prevent that from happening.
One of their tackiest tricks is to hire First Nations activists to act as spokespeople, so others will be reluctant to oppose them.
The good news is that many BC First Nations leaders are getting fed up with the tokenism and foreign intervention that's keeping their communities from sharing in Canada's prosperity.
We need to stand with these chiefs while they're being attacked by the white liberal outsiders who are trying to turn First Nations people against each other.
