How to shut the back door on foreign money in Canadian elections

Brian LilleyArchive

We’ve been reporting for two years on foreign money influencing Canada's 2015 federal election. Now a new group has filed an official report with Elections Canada alleging interference from foreign money.

Remarkably, this time the Media Party is starting to pay attention realizing that this might be a problem.

As media around the world continue to question Russian interference in the American election without any tangible proof, shouldn't Canadian media focus on this very real and problematic story?

Watch as I explain what took place during the last federal election and what needs to happen to fix this problem in future elections.

The sheer hypocrisy on this from the media party and the left in Canada is pathetic, they cannot get enough Trump/Russia while ignoring any outside meddling for Justin.

Of course it is no problem for Soros and some Saudi prince or Obama to interfere, meanwhile the left is clinging to the Russia lie about Trump like the future of life on earth depends on it.

Soros and a few Countries must have paid extra money to the old news media stations as they ran the clip of Mike Duffy walking into the Senate 24/7 for at least 3 months. Each time they mentioned that Duffy was Harper’s pick. The ironic part is he was CTV’s Political Chief in Ottawa, so if Harper had bad taste, so did CTV.
Brian, you were on the right track as usual; hope you can clean it up before the next election as we can’t have another bought politician like Trudeau.

Brian Lilley, once again, the Rebel has been well ahead of reporting what concerns Canadians from coast to coast. Great reporting then, and now!

“Preserve the integrity of our electoral system” What a quaint notion. That is so 2011when you are living on the ways that are Sunni.

Are you kidding , it’s way too late , Christy Clarke and Justin “Bin Zoolander” Trudeau are paid employees of China

Baby Doc will not support any electoral reform limiting foreign funding in third party interests. This is for the simple reason that they are his pay masters as well, and he won’t bite the hand that feeds his and Princess Sophy’s life style.

I’m glad someone is starting to talk about how Soros bought this government by washing cash into marxist orgs who used it to spread smear campaigns. I figure there should at least 30 ridings re run the electoral process minus the paid spread of fear mongering lies from the Soros foot soldiers.

And what about the millions the Chi-coms deposited directly into Trudeau’s own little slush fund? What up with that? Anyone interested what the Chi-coms bought with that? Anyone care? Who else has made big deposits to the Trudeau slush fund?

the current PM is illegitimate AFAIC.

Another election needs to be called based on this evidence. And those at Election’s Canada, need to be questioned while being hooked up to lie detectors. There was interference from all directions. That’s the only reason that schmuck was placed in our parliament.

One dose not have to look far to find out who the donors of this money were. Just look at where Trudeau’s Brother lives. Now look at the largest voting block in the UN. That’s right, Islam.

Foreign money creates foreign PM’s, because one thing is certain, our PM is not Canadian. He is not even Human.

Brian quoted Jean-Pierre Kingsley saying, “We simply cannot allow any kind of money that is not Canadian to find its’ way into the Canadian electoral system.”

Brian, even though Jean-Pierre Kingsley is a Liberal, this current batch of Justin Trudeau Liberal are criminals.

They will never plug a hole in donations from foreign money so long as it benefits them … and to be quite frank, Brian, I have very little trust that even the “old guard” Liberals will support a law which stops foreign meddling in Canadian election unless it is to stop any foreign money from seeing its’ way to Conservative coffers.

That is the only way we can get the Liberals to at least pretend to be honest and do the right thing.

But Conservatives do not take foreign money to interfere with Canadian elections. That is the realm of the Libranos.

Unfortunately, its (current year) and in Trudeau’s opinion: Canadians are post-national. That means we live in a global village, therefore, there is no such thing as “foreign” influence in our silly little elections.
It’s hard to believe Canadians can be so naïve as to believe these “foreigners” have our nation’s best interests at heart.
