How to spot and bust 4 common oil sands myths

Holly NicholasRebel Commentator

Justin Trudeau had a lot to say about phasing out the oil sands last week, but he couldn’t be more wrong. Projections suggest that oil production in Canada will increase over the next decades and the majority of that increase will be from the oil sands.

Of course, Rachel Notley had to step in and defend the oil sands, but she’s implemented a 100 megaton cap on production so it’s easy for her to say she’s in favour of them but under her cap, production will need to be limited by 2027 even if steps to reduce emissions are taken according to the Fraser Institute.

She knows if she has her way, her green ideology is going to knee cap the oil sands within the next ten years.

Watch my video as I address four common myths about the oil sands that our politicians often spread.

There’s a lot of misinformation spreading out there, whether it’s from our politicians or regular trolls on the internet but the oil sands aren’t bad.

In fact, they provide us, at least partially, with the lifestyle that we’ve become so accustomed to.

@ Harley

Good comment, however as long as we have traitors like Turdo, Rat-chel, and Wind bag in office, they will always look for ways to destroy Canada’s resource sector, especially the oil and gas sector.

We import 600,000 barrels a day from half way round the world Saudi oil tankers burning bunker sea oil the lowest grade. Washing their tanks out at sea pissing off a whole bunch of countries as it fouls their shores and reefs. I call BS that this is a smaller carbon foot print. A pipe line from Alberta East is the answer. The government considers these pipe lines so dangerous it is better to pay the Saudis Billions.
Canada can supply all Canadians needs oil, wood, coal, and metal. All jobs that go with it..
Cant wait to get rid of Turdo, Rat-chel Wind bag. All Canadians should be receiving dividends checks
from our resources.

@ Pierre Chagnon

Next election you can be sure the bitch is gone. Problem is that she will probably push the election off for another year, to 2020, a 5 year term. She has the legal right to do so.

Another sign is if the person saying the myth has weak little hands that have never worked a hard day before.

Lloyd Nolan you forgot that California crude is blessed with magic and the CO2 does no damage unlike the Alberta Crude that is blessed by an evil demon so it actually pollutes twice as much.

The oil sands should be left in reserve, we should be developing our coal field a clan coal processing – cheaper, more abundant, more joules per ton.

California crude – 31.66 grams co2 equivalent per mega joule

Alberta crude – 18.74 grams co2 equivalent per mega joule

Just the facts , not that the amount of co2 maters

Notley is an evil duplicitous bitch. I cannot wait until Albertans bootprint Notley’s ass. I hope it is so hard she won’t be able to sit down for a week.

The easiest way to spot oilsands myths is when an anti-oilsands person opens their mouth. All that comes out is lies and bullcrap. They make up stats to include in their lies. I am sick and tired of the anti-oilsands assholes, especially when the filthy liars are Canadians. That is tantamount to treason.
