How will Trudeau’s plan to tax private health care plans “help” middle class?

Brian LilleyRebel Co-Founder

Justin Trudeau and his merry band of Liberals love to say they’re standing up for the middle class and those working hard to join it. So why then are they looking at imposing yet another tax on Canadian families?

Trudeau was asked straight up today if he is getting ready to tax health and dental benefits. He didn't flinch.

Watch as I explain what is at stake and why it matters to your wallet.

I hate to think of Junior spending my tax dollars wisely on refugees whilst we retirees that have not seen benefit increases “ever” will now have that one benefit…paid retirement monthly health benefits….taxed. As it is now, living is month to month on a pension, knowing fully well that if more taxes (including the proposed carbon tax) are imposed, it will result in the house being sold in order to eat.

When Trudeau speaks of leveling the playing field he conveniently excludes politicians and his elite friends. I suggest politician expenses be taxed. Be it a senator, MP, or bureaucrat, expense accounts are being misused on a large scale. Expense accounts used by politicians are being used as living expenses a benefit that clearly needs to be taxed. A shinning Example of this gross misuse of public money can be attached to the PM through his misuse of public funds where he had a party on our plane to Paris where it cost $1500.00 per person an expense that had nothing to do with government business and everything to do with personal expenditure at the expense of the electorate. Tax the elite expense accounts as income because that is what it clearly is. Parliament hill cafeteria a benefit tax it, home internet paid for by the electorate a benefit tax it. The Pm’s family traveling the world with him is a benefit and should be taxed as such. Big banks & big business receive multi million dollar bonuses or shares these should be taxed as income. Close the elite holes before you attack the people that pay your way.

I’m not sure of your point Bruce. Canada IS a socialist democracy. It’s the degree of socialism that Canadians debate. Do we move more towards free-market or gov’t control? I think most Canadians want to keep our socialist democracy intact, but disagree on how far socialist ideology should take us.

Socialist Democracy
A Socialist Democratic government is not Marxist or Communist. A Socialist Democratic government is still a Capitalist government, just one who seeks to restrain the self-destructive excesses of Capitalism, and channel government uses of Tax money into creating opportunities for everyone. Democratic Socialists believe that both the economy and the society should be run democratically to meet human needs, not simply to make profits for a greedy few. “Fascism should more properly be called corporatism since it is the merger of state and corporate power.”-Mussolini

Noam Chomsky explains that to destroy a Socialist Democratic benefit like our Canadian Universal Health Care plan,so corporations can take over and make huge profits on the back of the common folk, they must divide the services, thus robbing the Universal plan of revenues until it cannot function, then they can take over with privatized and as is witnessed by the U.S. system, very much more expensive and exclusive services to the very rich due to the astronomical costs.

39% of Canadians elected this “Empty Suit” . . . aka Canada’s Obama for 4 years. He certainly will not be able to do as much damage as the “Chosen One” did in the USA . . . but if he only does 10% . . . that should be enough to flush Canada for decades.
Just like ole Dad . . . who gave us Metrification, PetroCanada, Maurice Strong and 100s of billions in debt . . . this idiot will work against the interests of most Canadians and pander to the Globalists and the worthless UN !

Trudoop has only well learned from being a SUBSTITUTE DRAMA TEACHER the word ENGAGE. That’s in all his stupid rhetoric lies, 5 times and every time we spews his garbage lies, over and over again, he says engage. What an idiot. I would give anything to see him disintegrate to nothing but ashes.

Trudeau’s method to increase the middle class:
Lower everyone’s income through taxation thus reducing the average NET incomes of Canadians. The middle class GROSS income will simply equate to a NET low income.
Socialist utopia brought to you by Justin Trudeau.

HYACINTH

Saw the Kitty Werthmann video, and for sure the USA was well on the way to being like Germany during the Nazi Regime, but with Trump`s win I think the direction will change for the better. Sadly it looks like here in Canada we are in moving in the same direction, on the way to totalitarian rule under that snake Trudeau. I`m still very angry at other Canadians that voted for that little turd, I could see what he was and what he was going to do. Why the hell couldn`t everyone else, it was so incredibly obvious from his history and his father`s attack on Canada when he was Prime Minister. Thanks for the link to the video, I hope everyone views it, it`s probably going to be our future. What amazed me is what she had to say about the national news media at that time, all the lies they no doubt filled the citizens ears with, so they had their own CBC, etc.

Brian be easy on the guy. He needs some way to collect more revenues so he can give them all away via the auspices of the United Nations and various Islamic governments. What’s a poor rich boy supposed to do?

Nathan, are you deluded? How can you get the opposite of reality and call that the truth – Trudeau is taxing private health – that means those with private plans will be subsidizing you.

The public health system as it is delivered now is unsustainable unless the government abandons other entitlements and diverts the money to the health plan they have been defunding for over 30 years. Ottawa does not pay anywhere near the 50% of costs the original plan called for. Maybe if they made up that short fall, people wouldn’t need private insurance to cover what has been dropped from the public coverage as it struggles to maintain on diminished funding.
commented 2016-12-13 08:00:46 -0500
If there’s an economic case for the value of these subsidies, they should be extended to the entire population. Otherwise, why should I subsidize your gold-plated hypochondria-reduction plan?

In Canada we have the reality of universal health benefits. Just by virtue of being a citizen you are guaranteed certain health care. A proposal has been put forth that these benefits should include dental care.

Trudeau is in favour of expanding these rights.

I can’t watch the video. I can’t stomach him anymore without wanting to punch him out!

Correction, Drew. Step-daddies trust fund.
commented 2016-12-13 01:14:57 -0500
Of course when you are rich from daddies trust fund you can just pay for private health care somewhere else and avoid this tax.

I guess it must be a luxury no one really needs.
Is this clown for real? These help many people, but then again when the hell has the left ever cared about anyone other than themselves?

Trudeau’s entire “post national” globalist agenda is focused at reducing the middle class and replacing them with subsidy reliant welfare classes.

This is a bit off topic but it is another demonstration of how incompetent and how totally clueless this Trudeau government is; I just did the election reform survey at mydemocracy.ca that the Trudeau government setup. Then I did it again and realise a person can vote early and vote often. What a great sample of election reform, vote early and vote often. The result of this election reform survey will be determined by which group pays the most to hire people to vote early and vote often. What a total wast e of money.

Why do people set up Charitable Trust Funds?
