Ignore Hurricane Harvey’s “climate change” crazies: Fossil fuels saved lives — and will rebuild Texas

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Host | The Gunn Show

Before the rain has quit falling and before the bodies are counted, progressives are using Hurricane Harvey to push their pro-carbon tax climate change agenda.

The articles being churned out by liberal publication are endless and ghoulish:

“Climate change juiced Hurricane Harvey"

“Houston: A Global Warning”

“The devastation of Hurricane Harvey marks a turning point and raises the terrible possibility that we’ve entered the age of climate chaos”

While liberals panic and assign blame to deniers, rednecks and "deplorables" are using their jacked-up fossil fuelled toys to save lives.

In the real world, flood rescues are made possible by oil and gas.

You can’t pull the National Guard out of a roadway-turned-raging river with a Prius.

Just like after the Fort McMurray fire, and just like after the High River flood, there will be no putting Texas back together without the energy and revenue brought to us by fossil fuels.

Climate Change is Real! Climate Change DID “Juice Harvey”!
It’s called GEOenineering.
You pay taxes to UN climate officials in your so called “sovereign soil”.
Your duped into Trump and a non Hilary.
Were ALL Trumped.
What we are seeing this age is a Moral and Natural Law crumble under
controlled speech.
I’m sorry, but i find this comments page very “Programed”

Where are the fuking Ideas?

MARK EDWARDS…..We hadn’t had a Cat 4 hurricane since 2005. Twelve years. Facts.

I wonder if Andrew Stephenson takes the opposite position of everything said on The Rebel just to prove he / she is a complete dipshit, or if he / she really is a blithering idiot.

Jan G

Look up Rick Mercer’s ‘Seven Day Forecast’ on you tube. The one satire he did that showed how good he could have been, if he weren’t a CBC clone.

I agree with you, Environment Canada can’t empirically predict one day out, but will tell us what the exact weather will be 100 years from now based on faulty statistical models.

Sheila: That’s because you have real men out there. These university carry overs (those who still dress like they’re in university even though they’re 50) are jealous of real men who can actually do things and not just talk about things.

Heh ha ha ha, “facts” form Michel Mann – like facts from Stan Lee.

He’s so discredited and embarrassed by his proven crank science BS he won’t come here any more for fear of being beat up by “facts”

(should read: ‘was to be sunny and humid’)

Every time we are going to get a storm, the weather station has the big red alert playing over and over, warning of flooding/hail/tornadoes/trees falling/etc etc. and then we get a regular thunder storm.
They sensationalize every possible event and have everyone in fear of tornadoes and hurricanes.
The weather station hasn’t been right ONCE in over a year on rain or storms in my area. Example: today is sunny and humid. It is about to rain at this given moment!

Here’s a great idea just put a 100% carbon tax on any house that is over 2000 square feet. that will surly satisfy the loonie left

Oh, and another thing:

Fort McMurray fire: biggest disaster in Canadian history
California drought: unprecedented in its severity and scope
B.C. fires: worst season on record
L.A. fire: biggest in the city’s history
Hurricane Harvey: costliest in U.S. history

And that’s in just the last 18 months. Coincidence? Maybe. But unlikely. And you certainly can’t just brush it off as “liberal” bias.

Sheila, ugh! Your video cites “articles” in the “liberal press”…but they’re NOT articles. They are opinions, and if you look closely, they’re labelled as such. Then you say, without citing evidence, that extreme weather is on the decrease. That’s nonsense. Then you say the storm caused the price of fuel to go up…which, if the storm is evidence of climate change, means that climate change is costing poor people more. Look, if the best you can do is show some "jacked up pickup trucks saving the National Guard from floodwaters (which may be the result of climate change) as evidence that fossil fuels are our future, then you really have no argument.

This doesn’t seem very well researched. No numbers, no statistics, no actual verifiable facts. That’s not journalism, it is merely opinion. Flood rescues are made by oil and gas? Great. But what if…if…oil and gas caused the flood? ie: climate change? I thought The Rebel would provide insight and do some digging, but this leaves me really disappointed.

Andrew Stephenson,

Just curious, how do solar panels operate during a hurricane? Actually, considering Texas has massive solar farms, there should be no problems according to your theory. But they are not contributing, why?
commented 2017-09-04 14:29:42 -0400
Imagine, solar panels that don’t have sun shining on them. Solar panels only produce electricity when solar rays are present.

Imagine for a moment – what a wind tower would look like after experiencing 145 mph winds – sturdy, low buildings didn’t seem to stand up to those winds very well.
What’s even more alarming is how the Ultra-Left are saying that Harvey is punishment to all the red-necks who voted for President Trump!

Sheila, we get these Ult-Left Climatard warnings because we allow insane lunatics to use our internet technology. IQs of a their shoe size – like our Canadain carbon tax politicians.
WARNING: Lieberal Libturds pollute the Internet news space!!

By the way, a gasoline powered Yaris is no better than a prius at rescuing swamped individuals. That’s not fossil fuels, but basic vehicle type.

Something to say about solar panels – they keep producing power if the supply lines get shut down since they don’t run out of fuel.

Galveston is built on a barrier island, and didn’t have flood barriers back then. That\s not "climate change’, that’s simply infrastructure.
commented 2017-09-04 13:16:29 -0400
And as I noted in a previous post… Many thousands – perhaps as many as 12 – were killed during the hurricane that wiped out Galveston in September, 1900 – when apparently “climate change” was not fashionable….
