I’ve been wanting to show you something for a while — it’s been months actually, and I’m sorry I didn’t get around to it until now. Take a virtual tour of our TV studio with me:
This small studio, with the green screen and the computerized control panel called the Tricaster, is how we make our shows on a shoestring, compared to the million dollar studio we had at the Sun News Network, that took half a dozen people to operate.
As you know, we built this whole thing — the studio, the acoustic foam, the lights, the cameras, the air conditioner to keep it cool with all those lights, and the Tricaster — for less than $85,000.
And ALL of that came from you, our dear supporters.
Last year, we crowdfunded the whole studio, brick by brick. Well, there aren’t any bricks in it, but we sold symbolic bricks, cornerstones and foundation stones.
It took us a while to get all the bricks up and labelled — not in real bricks, that would be too expensive, but in wallpaper that looks like bricks. And that’s what I want to show to you today!
Two thousand of you contributed, from $42 dollars to more than a thousand dollars. Your name. Or the name of a loved one. Or even the odd anonymous name. Your message to us: “Freedom.” “Independence.” “Stay strong.” “Be honest.” “Keep fighting.” “Keep going.”
We look at your wall every day.
And everyone here finds it a source of constant inspiration.
We couldn’t show you all the messages — it would take half an hour. But if you bought a brick on our wall of honour, and you haven’t seen it in the past few minutes, send us an e-mail, to firstname.lastname@example.org, with your name, and we’ll take a photo of your brick and e-mail it to you, so you can see it in real life.
It’s taken us too long to say thank you because every day we’ve been going full tilt to actually use the studio that your bricks paid for. To make thousands of videos. To reach millions of people. And it’s because of you.
So — thank you.
Email us at email@example.com for a photo of your brick if you haven’t seen it today.
And please know that, even though you haven’t seen them before, we’ve been looking at them every day, and they’ve been our inspiration. Thanks again.
