Immigration Minister McCallum tells "bald-faced lie" on Syrian refugees — Conservatives shrug

Brian LilleyArchive

It was stunning to see Immigration Minister John McCallum standing in the House of Commons and tell a bald-faced lie when responding to a question about the costs incurred by the Department of National Defence to house Syrian refugees.

The particularly astounding part was that the Liberals lied about something they’ve already admitted they did.

Watch my video for the details and you’ll understand why I say that the Conservatives really need to step up their game if they want to honour their role as Her Majesty’s Loyal Opposition.

As we’ve documented many times and on many different issues, calling lying Liberals who claim to be open and transparent to account, is not for the faint of heart but it must be done and done immediately.

Hyacinth – I checked out the video and it was very good too! The site that I noted, has a lot of material to read, but the video was well done.

I viewed several “end times” videos/links. Had a chuckle or two because some are so far-fetched. Then I came across this.

I found this site on the end times. It’s absolutely fascinating and makes a lot of sense out of what is happening in the world right now. http://trackingbibleprophecy.com/index.html

Hyacinth, it does look like all western governments are pushing us into war, but I don’t think it will be a war like the 2nd ww. I believe they want to see lots of civil unrest (happening right now in Europe) and even as far as a civil war so that they can impose martial law and start arresting the people of our countries, who will try to fight against the muslim invasion, which is also beginning (citizens getting arrested)right now in Europe. Then they will start their final phase of imposing the new one world order or government, just another name for communism. The fact that this is happening everywhere in the west and began with the arab spring in 2011 is not a coincidence, but rather a well planned out evil plot by some extremely wealthy elites and other powerful secretive groups. We all have to be aware and not hide our heads in the sand like most people who are only listening to main stream media. Somebody has to be there with the truth. Hopefully the rebel will be able to stay around with the truth.

Your Hamlet quote made me think. On an older article I posted a snippet about the pale green horse. I typed in “pale green horse” in the browser to find the verse number quickly so I could look it up in my Bible to refresh my memory. Several links appeared but also the following link was in the cluster. Curiosity got the better of me and I skimmed the info, it was that kind of moment that you could cue in “The Twilight Zone” music. When I posted before it was just a vague feeling, but to see it laid out as on that page it was disconcerting to say the least. I don’t recall reading such before, it was just a feeling, hence your Hamlet quote is very appropriate.

The apple cannot be stuck back on The Tree of Knowledge; once we begin to see, we are doomed and challenged to seek the strength to see more, not less.

You are grasping at straws in your comment only because you illustrated such a small number of the myriad subtle and not so subtle methods the State uses to coerce, subjugate, oppress, rob and marginalize us! We live in a covert fascist state that is becoming an overt fascist state! For me, the most reasonable explanation for what is happening today is to be found in the Bible.

Well I can’t argue with your post Dan, it has its merits. It’s a reasonable explanation to the phenomenon that we are witness to. I still think it is something that is put in the water or some food, perhaps the flu shot or some such? I know I am grasping at straws but its better than the alternative which is thinking that so many people in positions of power are willingly and eagerly pushing for a world war because that is the inevitable outcome to this madness forced on its citizens of all of the Western countries.

What I referred to as ‘the juggernaut represented by the left rolling over all of us’, is in fact a worldwide phenomena. The imposition of socialism on all Western countries having already been accomplished, this is not a ‘Socialist Spring’ breaking out in the West. The elections of the last few years had to have all been fixed to accommodate that. The last two men standing as a bulwark against the One Worlders, being our own Stephen Harper and Australia’s Tony Abbott – taken out!
Wynne, Notley and Trudeau – elected? No. The utter insanity being spewed by the left – then acted on, nothing being done about it except a lot of squawkin’ on alternate media, C’mon…
This lefty/One Worlder juggernaut is rolling over all of us…Blatant, unchallenged lies in the HoC by a Minister of the Crown…just one of many, many examples in the West lately.

Opposition conservatives just showing up to collect a paycheck and not make waves. We are screwed.
Unfortunately I have to agree with your sentiment. With this bunch of pansies representing 30% of the electorate we are more than screwed.

I would not phrase or word it “in the face of the juggernaut represented by the left rolling over all of us”. The loss was disheartening – Con 31.89% vs. Lib 39.47%, but that description of yours would be more of an appropriate description of when the Liberals were bumped to 3rd party status in the 2011 election – Con 39.62% vs. Lib 18.91% .

McCallum looks like he just came out of a bar after a 3 hr lunch break and a few too many alcoholic beverages, with his shirt collar sticking out over his lapel and his messy looking hair, not to mention his rather slow slurry speech. What a joke. And the conservatives say to themselves, after finding out the liberals are lying, Oh well, who cares. I want a new election with better candidates with Justin out of it. Can we do this?

Permanent housing, great, although the refugees are now relying on local food banks. When the Federal money going monthly to these families dries up what happens then? Welfare I guess and we all know how well that works in our country.
Hope the Conservatives up their game. Will see I guess.
By the way to all the commenters re: McCallum and drinking. You can only bring that up here. In parliament really?

Some wrinkled skin stretched over a skeleton. He looks like a disheveled older version of Bernie Sanders. Check out his shirt collar. When I see that drunken prune I feel like Im going to get sclerosis of the liver. By the time Puff the Magic Dragon is finished masquerading as our PM, ADSCAM will look like Monopoly for 3 yr olds!! He will make sure the largess will surpass any in the past. Thanks Bravo Zulu for that rendition of a modern day family tree. Shows how they can turn one welfare payment into a hundred and Zoolander is only too happy to sign the cheques. Thanks to all the hilarious posts from you guys. This is all just a comedy isnt it???

“The Conservative Opposition had better start offering a spirited opposition that reflects and stands for the values of Canadians that are opposed to the liberal agenda.”

Should, could, won’t. Pipe dream in my opinion. The last government (Harper’s) was the last decent government to be had, perhaps in a few decades that may change but not sooner. Look to the past – it took a few decades to climb out of the economic mess originally created by the 1st Trudeau (Liberal Party) and Canada is still reeling from some of his policies. Junior is screwing things up more so than his father did so basing it on the past it will take near twice as long than before to start turning things around. These politicians now running the country and the provinces (SK seems the exception), are not cut from the old cloth but from the “Anything For A Fast Buck Club”, they’d sell their own children into servitude in a heart beat if it meant feathering their own nest. The younger generations seem to believe that the budget will balance itself so I have no faith that things will turn around in the near future. The young socialists that voted Liberal in the last election will have to face for themselves sky-rocketing mortgage and loan rates, experience for themselves increased fees/levies/taxes as well as new ones and so on before the light dawns on them. Until then things will only continue to get progressively worse. Yes I meant the pun on the word because its “progressive liberalism” that is part of the problem.

I totally agree with some of the comments in regard to weak-kneed conservatives and Lilley not forcing questions to Bezan. If Rebel News wants money from us, they better start earning it. Frankly I don’t care about social deviant behaviour, I am only interested in balanced, thorough reporting on issues that affect Canada and its residents. As Jesus said, “You will always have the poor with you,” and I will add, “you will always have the depraved with you.” McCallum, if he is an alcoholic, will die from his disease, but what the heck does that his behaviour have to do with the cowardly behaviour of our conservative party?

Cause and effect. In United States the Republicans offered a totally feckless opposition to the Socialist Democrat Party agenda. This lead to the creation of the Tea Party movement and later the present populist movement by Donald Trump. The right side of the political spectrum in Canada and the United States is in disarray because they refuse to stand up for our values and principles.
The Conservative Opposition had better start offering a spirited opposition that reflects and stands for the values of Canadians that are opposed to the liberal agenda.

Yes, the federal Conservatives have become wimpy gutless cowards.

Yes, the Liberals continue to be shameless and moralless pathological liars.

But the real blame is heaped upon the main stream media who refuse to hold to account their bum buddy lovers, the Liberals … and the NDP in Alberta.

The main stream media is more useless than a stinking pile of shit. At least the shit has value to flies, dung beetles, and for fertilizer.

By all accounts, Harper was a half decent PM.
Maybe he should try and make a come back. Politicians have all sorts of methods to wrangle some kind of changes.
He could replace some elderly sitting PC and the PC’s could elect them as their leader.
Now that the country has seen the folly of the Liberals, there might be more acceptance of some one with more knowledge and experience than Dustbin Justin and his troop of moronic followers like McCallum.

Liberals are all progressives and they lie about everything. The NDP are like a mirror image of them. I was so angry when they won this election because I knew what that meant. Low information and un educated voters are the ones vote these boobs in so now we all pay.

Henry Reardon commented
“Now that Harper has gone silent, do we still have any real small ‘c’ conservatives in our government at all, including among the large ‘C’ Conservatives? Or do we just have a bunch of opportunist politicians who – rightly or wrongly – think public opinion is swinging to the left? If they are the opportunists I think they are – and blame decades of watching our political parties at work for that cynicism – I suggest that we aren’t going to see any real change even if the Conservatives get another majority in 2019. If the Red Tories have become Blue Tories, as they were for so long under Stanfield, Clarke and Mulroney, the 2019 election will be just like most of the other elections we’ve ever had where the parties are virtually indistinguishable from one another on the Left side of the spectrum.”

I agree that we won’t see any real changes even if the Conservatives get a majority in the next election, those days are gone. IMO Harper was no small “c” conservative, he was more of a red conservative but the best of the entire lot. Now there is nothing remaining but right leaning liberals wearing conservative clothing in the party so of course they will not put up much of a fuss. Canada is toast. Glad I am one of the older folks because I’d hate to be 18 entering the real world for the first time with how things currently are and where it is headed.

Liebranos lie! That is the truth of the matter. This needs to be brought up as a confidence issue and watch the Liebranos move post haste to shut it down or use their phony majority to vote it down confirming their dishonourable behaviour! Will this happen? Unlikely. No one it seems really gives a rat’s azz about Canadians!

The Conservatives have largely abdicated their role as the loyal opposition. They are just collecting their pay and cruising along like the rest of the crowd in Ottawa.

And… Full disclosure… I used to funnel a few “shekels and rubles” to the Conservatives when asked in years past, in spite of being an old geezer on a limited pension… There is no way in Hell I would do so given today’s performances in Ottawa or Queen’s Park… Grow some “balls” Conservatives, because Rona, and Patrick, are evidently not doing it for you!…
