Iran's supreme court judges believe in 'an eye for an eye' in the case of a man accused of blinding another man during a street fight.
According to The Jerusalem Post, a 28-year-old man only identified as Saman unintentionally blinded a man with a metal rod during a street fight. He was only 23 at the time.
Iran Human Rights states that, “The blinding punishment is part of a retribution sentence issued by the Supreme Court to Saman for allegedly blinding another man during a street fight.”
The date of implementation of the sentence has not been announced.
