On last night's episode of Off The Cuff Declassified, former CIA Station Chief Scott Uehlinger joined me to discuss Iran's sinister long-term goals in the Syrian Civil War.
Iran has been pushing Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to act increasingly aggressive, with the intention of provoking America and Israel to take him out. This would enable Iran to fill the power vacuum that would emerge like they did in Iraq after the fall of Saddam.
If Iran is able to take control of Syria it will move them even closer to Israel's border and their goal of eradicating the Jewish state.
I think I’m with Nigel on this one(the last half of Tucker).
Israel’s defence and saving the Syrian people from Assad are the excuse being used to rearrange the power base in the M.E. If the U.S. starts sharing fire power with Assad’s Army, what do you think Russia will do? When all the chaos starts, watch it spread out. Israel has a right to exist. So does Assad’s Syria. Surely the big bad U.S. can find ways to deal with Iran without bringing us all into a world war. The excuse is fabricated. Nobody believes Assad did the chemical attacks.
That war was damn near over and done. ISIS almost eradicated, Russia wanted to go home, was Iran going to stay? I don’t know, but Trump said he wanted to pull out also. Somebody(s) were not going to let that happen. And here we are. I want Israel to be safe. I just don’t want us to get annihilated in the process.
ALL the big players are hovering ready to jump in. Call me over anxious, but that makes me more than a little nervous and resentful that the entire world is in this position.
… If the US takes out Assad, the region becomes a cauldron, and the greatest threat to Israel of all.
