With Black Lives Matter supporters protesting Black Friday due to 'racism', college students were asked whether or not they agree.
Reporter Lee Ann McAdoo asked students in Austin, Texas for their thoughts. While some agreed with the Black Lives Matter protesters, others, such as one man, simply answered 'not really'.
“There should definitely be a new name for it... I wouldn't go with colour things because that's still race-implied, I guess,” one blonde girl said.
One black student interviewed, however, appeared to be the most neutral to the supposed racial connotations to Black Friday. “We should do facts over feelings first,” he said. In reference to the Black Friday protesters he adds, “if they don't know what they're talking about then...” he proceeds to roll his eyes.
