Is Justin Trudeau cheating on HIS taxes? More Liberal hypocrisy on tax avoidance

Brian LilleyArchive

Remember during the election when Justin sat down with his friend Peter Mansbridge for that friendly tête-à-tête during which Trudeau revealed that he thought many small businesses were just shell companies set up to avoid taxes?

Peter and the CBC let that comment slide but we didn’t because it seemed obvious that it revealed something about Trudeau himself. For one, how out of touch he was with regular hard working Canadians and for another, perhaps it said something about his own experiences with tax avoidance?

This should surprise no one but it turns out Justin was speaking from personal experience and certainly knows what he’s talking about at least for himself and his brother who had several numbered companies set up for them, allowing them to defer taxes for a very long time.

Despite repeated claims of transparency, it turns out he’s actually been quite opaque. Various journalists, including Le Journal, have asked pointed questions on the subject but have not received answers.

When the Prime Minister is going around denigrating small business owners suggesting they only set up companies to shelter income and casting aspersions on everyone else, isn’t it incumbent on him to really be honest about how he has organized his own affairs to avoid taxes?

Justin Trudeau’s been caught, just like his Finance Minister Bill Morneau.

I’d say shame on them but we’re quickly learning these Liberals, have no shame.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and three of his Liberal MPs asked a court for more time to file post-campaign financial reports after failing to meet deadlines under Canada’s election laws.

Elections Canada confirmed to CBC News that Trudeau and Liberal MPs Seamus O’Regan, Don Rusnak and Ken Hardie also sought a judicial extension. Trudeau, O’Regan and Rusnak were granted the extension; Hardie completed his filing before the matter ended up before a judge.

He’s also asked Elections Canada for an extension in filing his financial.

Open & transparent, my foot, as long as they’re not caught. Trudeau never did answer Mulcaire, just a rant & a spin as always. It takes one to know one Trudeau. He has committed $444M to catch the cheaters.

Actually Andre it is a scam, a shameful scam. Which is a shame nonetheless. East coast and urban voters repulse me. Golfing the back nine here, feel sorry for my grand kids, nephews and nieces that will be teeing off from the tips from the get go. Wish I could have left them a trust fund. Serious lack of reality in this caucus, not a clue what the middle class is tolerating these days, the divide will get greater.

Chretien and the “red book”, McGuinty and “no new taxes”, Martin and Tax Haven of Barbados for his ships, Junior Trudeau and all the small businessmen tax cheaters,……..so much garbage and immoral if not illegal actions. Ontario’s administration looks more and more like that of a 3rd world dictatorship.
What a shame.

Forget what Libranos say – they are all sociopaths who lie uncontrollably. Canadians know and expect this.

Watch what the Libranos do – their actions are their truths.

Looking forward to the day that Morneau and Trudeau are married – but that would leave Sophie out in the cold.

I am a small business owner. My business is how I pay for life’s necessities, not luxuries. I don’t get luxuries, and CRA never fails to extract “their fair share” of my business. I recently saw a cartoon were a person was trying to set up an offshore account and was told by the banker that he didn’t even have enough money to set up an onshore account! That’s what life is like for many small business owners.

I found it totally offensive when Justin Trudeau claimed that small business was just a way for rich people to save on their taxes. Obviously he knows about that more than he knows about the real life of the small business person. So much for his understanding and caring about the middle class! The Pompous Prince!

No one in this Librano crew could withstand a robust tax audit.

As for PM Selfie, Brian, the mould is cast and the record so far shows him to be a pathological liar, – maybe one of the biggest liars the Libranos have ever burdened us with. You can’t believe a damn thing he utters.

If the LPC wants to crack down on tax cheats they can start by auditing themselves and their corporate patrons

Thanks BRIAN, knew this was coming, and there’s going to be lots more
