Is OLG “out of control”? Winning sports bettors targeted with “investigations”

You may recall my report about the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation refusing to pay out a few small jackpots I was fortunate enough to win. Well, it seems I’m not the only one being mistreated by the OLG.

After the report aired, a Toronto man reached out to The Rebel to speak about his tales of OLG woe.

Watch as I share what has happened to “Jimmy,” who is very good when it comes to betting on U.S. college football games.

If you happen to win more often than you lose when it comes to sports wagering, expect to be put through the grinder and endure so-called “investigations” in which OLG flunkies will ask deeply personal questions that have nothing to do with the integrity of the game.

Despite a scathing Ombudsman’s report in 2008, customers are still treated in an abusive manner proving yet again that while all monopolies are bad, government-run monopolies are especially odious.

If you could influence sports like that , you would be betting a lot more than the limit that OLG sets.

Should have asked 1 of the 10 vise presidents . Like they need 10 making around $200.000 a year . Maybe more that was a couple years ago .

No surprise here. I mean, why would the attitude of petty bureaucrats at OLG be any different than their sidekicks at MOE or any other Ontario Government agency?

ANYONE who deals with the degenerate Onterrible government who expects not to be screwed over, is too naive to be let out of the home without a keeper.

There is a certain cynicism that most people have I think that is evidence of our fallen nature and partly because what is witnessed and partly because of projection. That leaves us to conclude that anyone who is winning consistently in something like a lottery must be a crook which may or may not be true but add to the formula ex-police officers who think everyone who challenges their call as lying criminal bull shitter who is mad they got caught. It is understandable that people become cynical but it is not professional nor is it intellectually honest.

Out of control bureaucrats on a personal power trip? Say it is not so, bureaucrats are such self sacrificing honest individuals who would give their last shirt to serve the public that pays them. I know this is the truth because their unions say it is the truth, and we know the unions do not lie.
