According to a new story from The Daily Mail, ISIS commanders were killed after a suicide bomber blew himself up at a meeting following the Islamist group's collapse in Mosul.
The jihadi is said to have detonated the explosive in the Qaim District in the west of the Anbar Province.
Lieutenant Colonel Salam al-Obeidi says he believes only a few hundred ISIS terrorists remain in the Old City. Right now they only control about a square kilometre in the city that was their de facto capital of the 'caliphate'.
He added that ISIS terrorists don't turn themselves in so “if they don't get killed, their last option is to blow themselves up and commit suicide.”
