JihadWatch's Robert Spencer says he was delayed at a Toronto airport for three hours because he was suspected of being in possession of 'hate speech'.
Spencer explained in a speech how authorities went through his luggage and examined every little thing including his prescription medication.
He joked that by the time authorities pulled out a Koran “now they were getting to the hate speech.”

Eventually a coworker of the man going through Spencer's luggage came over and started asking him if he ever spoke in Europe. Spencer told the man where he spoke in Europe – including Germany, which shocked the man interrogating Spencer. “They have strict hate speech laws in Germany,” he said.
At that point, Spencer knew what all these delays were about.

“The idea that it would be hate speech to discuss the problems coming to Canada with the refugees and the problems that are inherent in Islamic doctrines that are pointed to by Islamic Jihadis everyday to justify violence and hatred – and that's hate speech? We live in an age that George Orwell would have thought was crazy,” Spencer told the room.
Keep in mind that while he was detained, 500 Syrians are pushed through a day, with a zero rejection rate.
