“Isn't that what they did in the Soviet Union?” — “Islamophobic" tweet treated as sign of mental illness

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

On Tuesday's show, I updated the disturbing story of a Montreal man taken into police custody for making a sarcastic comment on Twitter. Believe it or not, the story gets even worse...

You’ve never been so accurate in a assessment of state abuse of the law than this Ezra – this (along with a growing list of other politicized judicial memes) has the fetid stench of soviet totalism on it. Such a dangerous convergence at a time the civil atrocities of soviet era statism have been flushed down the memory hole by regressives.

I thought 1984 was supposed to be a fictional tale. Oh, thats riiiight! My so-called PM (#NOT MYPM) is a former drama teacher! He’s not the one on his knees before O’Brien FOR REAL though is he?

This has to be against some law. ALL PEOPLES AND RELIGIONS are already protected under Canadian law. M103 is redundant, petty, and entirely unnecessary and is meant to put this one group above everyone else. It’s a waste of time. If the government has to specially say islamophobia, then they must be fair and also say, christianophobia, jewaphobia, hinduaphobia, sikhaphobia etc. and then they are obliged to have a new motion with each and every religion or whatever other group wants this phobia motion passed to protect them over and above what our Canadian laws already have. I challenge all religions and groups of peoples to get on the band wagon and demand the same thing if M103 passes. Why not? If they get special privileges then so should everyone else in Canada to be fair.

I do not have islamophobia. I am just afraid of islam. A phobia is an irrational fear. My fear of islam is very rational. What is irrational is denying the abundance of empirical evidence.

Yes, that is what they did in the Soviet Union. And that is why we don’t teach history anymore in school. The kids coming up won’t know how evil the evil empire was and will be open to their tactics and motivations.
