College students: Fire school prez for study abroad in Israel program

Rob ShimshockRebel Contributor

Pitzer College students in California are demanding that President Melvin Oliver resign over his support for a study abroad in Israel program

Oliver said that suspending the program would “foolishly alienate” both Jewish and non-Jewish constituents of the college. The matter came to a head when the Pitzer College Council, comprised of both students and faculty, voted to suspend the program that would allow students to spend a semester at the University of Haifa.

Oliver refused to approve the motion. WATCH and I'll tell you about the petition against him.

Nice program! I think it could be very interesting for many students! Unfortunately, I can`t apply for it, as studying is not so easy for me, especially when it comes to writing. Sometimes, when I need to do some writing assignment, I apply for help, and the site https://www.writingjudge.com/ helps me find a good service, as their reviews are rather detailed, so you can pick the service for your needs.

It seems the United States’ government subsidizes the Israeli military to the tune of about one million dollars a day. Those are taxpayers dollars that might otherwise go to things like education.

We know that Rob Shimshock is American, but he should still have common sense.

Should universities in the United States be obliged to send students for “study abroad” semesters in Israel? Should they not support education in their own country?
