Ivanka's fashion brand closes amidst anti-Trump boycotts

Martina MarkotaRebel Contributor

Ivanka Trump’s range of mid-priced shoes and clothes is shutting down amidst anti-Trump boycotts.

She left the company quite some time ago, and remaining employees explained that the company never really recovered since she left.

The left are really enjoying this, but I think it’s terrible – and I know what it’s like to face this kind of backlash from politics.

But, given she has a family on her own, I’m sure her new work in the political arena is allowing her to do something more fulfilling and meaningful with her life. So more power to her.

That’s why she should have stayed with her business and fought through the fog machine. That would have been an accomplishment and it also would have kept her occupied outside of the White House. Which is as it should be.

Judging by the sales numbers, they did not.

The point is they wouldn’t want to Andrew. How ever their wives may.
commented 2018-07-29 16:13:53 -0400
Then they’re probaby not wearing Ivanka’s dresses, are they?
commented 2018-07-29 16:06:42 -0400
That’s because conservative men don’t sport man buns or carry man purses and dresses are only for the gender confused male.
commented 2018-07-29 15:45:38 -0400
I don’t think most Trump supporters, being middle aged men with very strong opinions about gender roles, would particularly be able to either.

Don’t be so self conscious Andrew. Nobody cares that you couldn’t get way with wearing Ivanka’s dresses.

In Canada, urban areas tend to be thinnest – downtown Toronto/Montreal/Vancouver/Calgary, and all are very left leaning.

She should have stayed with her company and pushed through the chains the left were trying to shackle her with. That would have been impressive. She has no business in the White House. I’m not crazy about the girl, but the left are all fat and ugly anyway and I don’t think her dresses came in those sizes or were meant for ugly people anyway.

Given the mood in “fly over” America these days, I wouldn’t be surprised somebody has already compiled a list of those companies boycotting Ivanka Trump… And wasn’t Nordstrom’s in financial trouble already?…

I hope she gets the last laugh on those democratic nutcases! "

She’s a democrat – it’s her surname that is toxic, not her politics. Her target customer, the upper-middle class urban millennial woman, is also extremely Democrat-leaning.

Isn’t the official Infowars narrative that Kushner is a treasonous influence that is ruining the presidency?

Americans, and they laugh. So little respect or consideration for the greater impact of their stupidity.

As for the chains that cancelled their contracts with her lines, they too may face a backlash by those who support the Trumps. Roughly 50% of American shoppers who might choose to voice their displeasure by shopping elsewhere (unlike the left which can only shout, scream, and be violent). "

I can’t imagine the typical Trump supporter, those older white, blue-collar males with very traditional ideas of gender identity, would be buying a lot of floral dresses.

Tony Stark: I have to laugh at your “despite the facts every investigative unit in Canada” comment. The investigation isn’t even a full week yet and you have made your conclusions which I would suggest are inaccurate. First off Joe Wamington at the Sun suggested differently. Are these not real because they defy your narrative? https://torontosun.com/news/local-news/warmington-was-danforth-attack-terror-or-terrorism And what about sources outside of Canada? Or are we only to accept Canadian government approved and sterilized news sources?

Not sure who or what you support Edward but I doubt you ever really supported him . China has been taking advantage of the US for years . He is standing up for his country not like Canadas little dictator so please spread your distain for a real loser not Mr. Trump . As for impeachment Canada should go first .
Tony and company saying it over and over again won’t change what we think so stick your name calling where the sun don’t shine . I’m tired of you leftist jerks labeling anyone that goes against your liberal bull shit . You don’t speak for Canadians so get over it . That school teacher is most likely your hero .

When Donald Trump faced Hillary Clinton for the presidency, I supported him wholeheartedly. In the interim, he has “fired” all he top advisors and replaced them with a bunch of yes men. He positions himself as the great “deal maker”, but he obviously has no real idea as to how international trade works (it is not real estate in NY). He is attacking his (America’s) long term allies and is supporting their long term enemies and his sexual misdeeds are being exposed. He is starting to look a lot like a certain German dictator in the early years of his reign. He is pretty much out of control and I cannot in true conscience support him any further. Yes, he is better than Hillary and yes he is worse than almost anyone else. For all that he did right in the first part of his mandate, he is rapidly negating and bringing the world to a precipice. It is time for him to be impeached before he does any further damage to the world. The current vice- president would then take over and all we can hope for is that one or both parties can forward some “real” candidates for the next presidential election. Unfortunately, the American system has been hijacked by money and it may be impossible to correct it (this all started with the assassination of JFK and shows no signs of improving any time soon). Eisenhower’s warnings (as he left office) were not heeded and they still ring true. The undemocratization of the worlds former leading democracies (USA, Britain, Germany etc. etc.) in recent times is so obvious to anyone who is a student of history. Yes we live in dangerous times and no, it doesn’t look like anything is going to improve any time soon.

God, Tony Stark, I just “love” your generalizations… “and every investigative unit in Canada.”? You mean the Newfoundland Constabulary are in on this also?…. Wow; who would have guessed?…

Muta Ween,

I know what you mean ,what with the singular narrow thought process of racism, bigotry, hate and ignorance of Rebel supporters, who think the Toronto shooting was terrorism, despite the facts from police and every investigative unit in Canada.

Just like everyone here thought the Toronto van attack was terrorism, except it wasn’t.

At The Rebel, if you are brown and commit any crime – you are a terrorist.

I’m sure she has learned a great deal from her father on how to deal with business discrimination. She doesn’t portray herself as being a self pitying kind of person nor does she strike us as being one who will bow down to oppression.
Ivanka is already showing the world she has much, much more to offer and no doubt she will ensure those loyal employees will be part of her future success.
Like Father like daughter.

You can just feel the hatred from the omnipresent troll of many names but singular narrow thought processes.

Good.

Either focus on your brand or be complicit with the Trump Presidential shit show. She chose the latter and this has been the response from the retail industry. The free market has spoken.

Stores can decide what they brands they want to carry or not carry for any reason at all. They don’t owe anything to Ivanka Trump. She made her bed and now she has to lie in it.
