Jack MacLaren on leaving the Progressive "Conservatives"

David MenziesMission Specialist

The Progressive "Conservative" Party of Ontario has been moving towards the left ever since Patrick Brown became the leader. It's gotten so bad that Carleton-Mississippi Mills MPP Jack MacLaren has left the PC's to join the Trillium Party.

After a video was released of MacLaren making reasonable arguments against favoring French language speakers in Ontario, he was kicked out of caucus.

WATCH my video to hear Jack's side of the story, and why he's become disillusioned with the PC party.

Patrick Brown has forgotten to whom the government belongs. It belongs to us, Patrick. The people of Ontario, the people of Canada. And, you have no respect for those people.

“Brown is a charlatan.”

And that, CHRISTOPHER BROWN, is it in a nutshell.

Paddy Brown
His pants fell down
And everyone could see
A tiny pair
With peach-fuzz hair
As pink as pink can be.

Patrick Brown says: “I am building a party . . .” Guess what Patrick? There is no “I” in team.

The Pseudo-Conservatives are led by another Progressive Con-artist Patrick Brown is really saying is that MacLaren doesn’t share Brown’s values.
Brown is a charlatan. He is Pro carbon tax because his carbon tax is going better than the Wynnes. He consistently votes with the Liberals for every step towards official bilingualism. And even worse It seems that virtually all of his opposition to Wynne’s programs turn out to be declarations that his version of the same big government, totally green agenda, pro teacher union sexual indoctrination (sex education) program, curtailment of property rights along with individual liberty under the guise of tolerance is going to be smarter and better.
There is only one issue for the next election – Restore Ontario’s Economy. That means undo all the damage of Liberals by repealing everything they have done to this province. Unfortunately they are running on replacing one liberal agenda with another liberal agenda. If I wanted such things I would vote for the Liberal A Team. I with many conservatives have no interest in Patrick Brown’s Liberal B Team either. As the Reformers used to say "Liberal, Red Tory – Same Old Story.
Patrick Clown will deliver a feckless campaign of Red Tory cliches. It’s Huddak all over again.

All are welcome in Patrick Brown’s PC Party – just as long as they do and say exactly what he instructs them to do and say. Embrace inclusivity (and enforce conformity) by turfing out anyone who disagrees with the you – makes sense. I’ve been wondering who to vote for in the next election – I knew it wouldn’t be the PCs, in their current configuration – so if the Trillium Party runs someone in my riding, they’ll probably get my vote. It’s between them and the Christian Heritage, I guess.

Peter says—“Keep your friends close and your enemies closer”
You could be correct in Patrick Brown’s case as he doesn’t have many friends, so an enemy may be better than nothing.

Ron said, “I don’t know why he doesn’t kick them out of the Party, like Brown did to Jack MacLaren.”

Keep your friends close. Keep your enemies closer.

Although I respect and agree with many of the comments here, the Leaders Team cannot all be going every which way; there must be discipline in public. Meetings are the tool where new ideas are discussed.
Otherwise you will have the problems that Pres. Trump is going through. He has to fight three enemies almost daily, the Democrats, the Media and the two traitors McCain and Lindsey Graham. I don’t know why he doesn’t kick them out of the Party, like Brown did to Jack MacLaren.

actually, peter, Albertans having been voting for CINOs for a long time. Its kind of a knee-jerk reaction to the name. They mean well abut are not terribly discerning. I don’t think Alberta has had a real conservative party since the SoCreds.

The Ontario PC are just another Liberal party, “Liberal Lite”. It won’t make any difference to the economic and political landscape of Ontario even if the PCs win the next election.

The NDP would also be another Liberal party, but maybe just a bit further to the left, so if the NDP win it would get even worse in Ontario … if that is even possible.

There is no conservative party in Ontario that has a chance of taking seats away from these socialist nimrods.

It is a sad time for Ontario, even worse than Alberta. At least in Alberta there are some real Conservatives and Notley will be out next election.

You might as well support the new Trillium party as voting for Patrick Brown’s PCs gives you a party essentially having the same policies as the ‘progressive’ Liberals. At least Wynne doesn’t pretend to be a conservative like CINO Brown does.

I really hope all the passed over conservatives join the Trillium Party and do so quickly, so the party stands a chance to win.

Carol, the problem is that in very short order the lefties have infiltrated the party and the undiscerning party members have voted them in.
commented 2017-06-02 20:03:05 -0400
That’s the problem we have everywhere. The parties are at the end all the same, except on few minor issues. Corruption is everywhere. We need new parties, with traditional views, honesty, and true democratic rules.

Joe Clarke tried to be a Papa Doc wanna-be, but without the intelligence. Hence he lost in 1980 because Canadians decided to vote back the real item. Sounds like Patrick Brown is trying to do a Joe Clarke by being an unintelligent Wynne wanna-be; so 2018 Ontarians will decide that they might as well vote back the real item.

I like MacLaren, he knows what’s up and what is important. Fake news is not only the BS the media spins, but making issues out of unimportant issues. Politicians and the MSM diverts our attention to unimportant issues while more important stories go unannounced. I joined Trillium after hearing him on CFRA! Go Jack! We get what you are saying.

The Ontario PCs are the liberals, the Ontario liberals are the globalist Marxist-socialist party and the NDP are the honest socialists
