Will Jason Kenney really fight back against foreign-funded anti-oil lobbyists?

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

After winning the premiership of Alberta, United Conservative Party leader Jason Kenney gave a long speech, but the part that got the biggest cheers was when he said he’s finally going to fight back against the foreign anti-oil extremists.

How can he do that, in practical terms?

He can bring in new laws, like South Dakota’s law against “riot boosting.”

Most laws are already on the books, though. There is a Canadian version of the RICO statute in the U.S., that could be used to prosecute an environmental group that acts like a Hells Angels gang or a mafia family.

But the real response isn’t just to use police; or even civil lawsuits. It’s to cut off these anti-oil extremists from their foreign funding — money being funnelled up from the U.S. from the Rockefeller brothers, the Tides Foundation, the Hewlett Foundation, and many others.

(Foundations which, funny enough, don’t ever go after Saudi oil or Russian oil or Iranian oil. Just ethical oil in Canada...)

So how do you go against them? Charge them with money-laundering; tax fraud; filing false charitable returns. We know they did it. Because we know the law, and they broke it.

And they were on the cusp of being brought to justice — until Justin Trudeau halted the Canada Revenue audit that would have decertified them as "charities."

So what can Kenney do now?

Well, the CRA is a federal organization.

But was there fraud on provincial taxes from these groups?

Was there a crime — like money-laundering — that can be investigated by Alberta police, and prosecuted by Alberta’s attorney general?

Go after the foreign-funded lobbyists in the court of public opinion. But go after them in the court of law, too.

Hit them where it hurts most — their pocketbook. Make their secret U.S. donors scared they’ll be outed. Put the lobbyists on the back foot for once. Smoke them out.

They’ll be too busy protecting themselves and hiding their foreign funders to have time to organize protests, don’t you think?

NEXT: Breitbart.com's Joel Pollak joins me to make sense of the Mueller Report.

FINALLY: Your messages to me!

- If Kenney doesn’t go after those foreign funded anti-oil lobbyists he will like election 2023. This is why Alberta needs an alternative party that isn’t the NDP or the Liberals or the Greens. I predict Kenney will do as he says. He was given a huge mandate to do so.

- The more of the Mueller report that comes out the more wailing & gnashing of teeth we get from the news media & their Democrat masters. Now the “evidence” will be said to be in the redacted parts. Trump needs to go on the offensive here. Start an investigation into this attempted soft coup & don’t drag it out like the Mueller report was.

Charred Remains….Ron.. I think what someone meant was in reference to the “electoral college” for fair representation.
-——————————————————————————-
Charred, I’m glad that you pointed out my overlooking one of the great benefits of the American Political System over the Canadian. If we had the electoral college and some of the American Amendments, Canada’s system would be world class, as far as fairness was concerned.

I was suggesting in the earlier comment that the US system should allow the President to throw a member out that votes against the party, therefore making them an independent. How can any Leader run a Party when it has traitors like McCain?
I have never seen this happen in the US, so I assume its not allowed.

“…Your days of pushing around Albertans has just ended…”

Boy, does that ever have a nice ring to it!

Let’s hope he will, or can, live up to it…

I’m just waiting for Quebec to try that “our way or the highway” stunt again… The “froggies” are going to get a rude awakening to the new Canadian reality if they try it…. Election coming in Newfoundland, looming in PEI; and Alberta has just stated what they think of the “equalization” rip-off… It remains to be seen if the Horgan/Weaver Tango in B.C. are willing to recognize the new Canadian landscape…

New study in europe reveals electric cars are 11-28% dirtier than diesel cars………maybe there is hope for Alberta
-——————————————————————————
Dirk, I also found out something about electric cars today.
Owners will have to pay a special ROAD TAX to replace most of the Government taxes now in Gasoline. Gov’ts will have to replace their revenue that they now receive. They say that is to fix the roads, but we know that never happens.

Liza Rosie, You may have a good idea of The Rebel covering Bernier in Kelowna as Ezra was hinting that he will soon announce Keean covering BC. I will send him a note, there is a chance he may have time to read it.

Lest we forget, Kenney believes in diversity, this will mean more migrants in Alberta with Alberta’s true citizens going to the back of the line when it comes to jobs. He, Kenney, may want to remember the people who voted for him and why they voted for him. I feel sure that ‘real’ people in Alberta are not really interested in racial diversity, only Trudites believe in that.

I really wish they would leave Trump alone. Obama got a Nobel Peace Prize as soon as he was elected and he hadn’t even done anything. He wasn’t that good of a president and no one was trying to impeach him all the time.
-———————————————————————-
Betty, despite Ezra and Pollak saying the US has a system " that works" , it is a TERRIBLE system with the exception of the Amendments.

1.Since Trump’s first day in office, low level Judges have blocked his Campaign Promises and other necessary changes, basically overruling the President on Muslim bans, even though Obama had the same bans.
2. He was accused of weird affairs with prostitutes which had no foundation and nothing happened to the people that made it up.
3. His own people were as much hindrance as the Democrats.
4. He couldn’t even build the wall, a project both Political sides have been in favor of since the 70’s.
5. He had Obama Care gone until the day of the vote when The traitor McCain changed his mind and voted against it.
6. The MSM can put out news stories that are 93% against Trump. They are like another opposition party.
7. How can Ezra and Pollak say it is a working system when three unqualified rookies,
a 29 year old bartender (OAC) and 2 Muslim women can demand that the President be impeached when the Government just finished a 2 year investigation which said that The President didn’t do anything criminal.

Trump is getting the punishment while the real criminals Hilary and Obama are free.

Ron Voss, maybe the Rebel could cover it. You know the CBC will if they think that they can put a spin on it.

I really hope that common sense will prevail.. President Trump and the Americans is our nearest and most trusted ally in modern day history.. You Mother F….. ‘s of Politician’s in Canada better not F@c that up!! Trump is trying to bring peace in our neck of the woods first.. Then he will try with the rest of the sh!t hole area’s that Trudeau is forcing into our world! If you trust Trudeau..? You better think again.

Kenny had better get it all done, because the Alberta independence party isn’t going away. It’s unlikely he’ll be able to do a lot because Alberta doesn’t call all of it’s own shots, but he’s not going to be able to use that as an excuse for failure, nor will Albertan’s allow him to do so.

We must all be on the alert for any leftward drift by Jason Kenny and Andrew Scheer. Even Doug Ford and Scott Moe should be watched like a hawk. Otherwise the infiltrators will get their way again.

So socialists figure Russian collusion in America’s election is some sort of sin but interfering in Alberta’s election is perfectly all right? This shows their Alinskyite tendencies. Defaming our oil and smearing President Trump are things they figure are just and right. Of course, we know that truth comes out and wins every time. You can call a rat a Siberian hamster all you want but it’s still a rat, Right Basil Fawlty?

The People’s Party of Canada in British-Columbia is organizing a reception and fundraising event with Maxime Bernier and Dr. Patrick Moore in Kelowna on May 24th.

Imagine that having the courage to share an event with a climate change ‘denier’ like Patrick Moore! If the media finds out, expect them to freak out.

CAPP’s climate commitment:

“In February of this year, the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers responded to the interim report. It stressed all the sustainable and responsible things it was doing in the vain hope of fighting off its enemies.”

Quislings!

“CAPP supports climate policies that are effective and efficient in managing greenhouse gas emissions while maintaining a vibrant and competitive oil and natural gas sector," says CAPP president and CEO Tim McMillan.

Impossible to achieve both. Those like CAPP who support the notion of man-made climate change are complicit as far as the consequences for Canada’s economy and Canada’s workers.

I don’t expect Kenney to stand up to the oil sands executives and CAPP.

In his victory speech Kenney said, “We Albertans love our natural environment, and seek to preserve it. We take seriously the challenge of climate change.” We? Speak for yourself. According to a 2018 poll, about 46% of Albertans, including me, believe the weather is controlled primarily by natural causes.

“Fourty years ago when I was a young student…”
Actually, it was 35 years ago. Anne McGrath was 26 years old when I saw her name on my ballot in Edmonton-Strathcona as the Communist Party of Canada candidate.
I was nearly the same age at the time and I had already stopped thinking of myself as young and innocent several years earlier.
I guess it’s different for Commies…
