Liberals have "no comment" about Jean Chretien's visit with Putin

Marissa SemkiwArchive

Last week, former Prime Minister and Liberal Party hero Jean Chretien traveled to Moscow to have a little sit-down meeting with Vladimir Putin.

The two reportedly discussed the state of relations between Russia and the West.

But consider this: Would Putin grant a one-on-one meeting to Chretien if he thought Chretien would come in and lecture him?

Would he have awarded Chretien with Russia’s Order of Friendship, as he did last January, if Chretien were tough on Russia, like our current Prime Minister is?

Of course not.

So, while the Conservative government takes great strides to isolate this murderous dictator, Chretien sits with him.

Could we foresee Chretien receiving a lucrative appointment to the Gazprom board, Russia’s natural gas giant?  It’s not beyond the realm of possibility.

Trudeau’s camp was asked if they aware of the meeting, and if he supports the former Liberal chieftain and Putin’s one-on-one.  And the Liberal party said pass.

Why are the Liberals being so cagey about this?  Are they fearful of snubbing Ukrainian Canadians by publicly declaring their support?

Or do they not want to cross him because he’ll be advantageous to them during the campaign?

“A good government like Harper’s can only do so much if corrupt Liberal interests in the civil service administration simply refuse to obey Harper’s directives and take all their orders from labour organization, not Conservative legislation.” I think we’re seeing some that now, and for a while at least. SCOC case in point as well as various union interests. The Socialist Media adds to the melee.

It is not clear cut. The Ukrainian government has been plagued with corruption. Ethnic Russians living in Ukraine claim Muslim massacres of Christians that Putkin sent in troops to stop.

Ukraine has admitted the problem with corruption and promises to clean it up but because of it, the issue is not at all clear cut.

I worry the corruption various witnesses to the Chabonneau inquiry claim infects all Canada has also compromised the integrity of our government. A good government like Harper’s can only do so much if corrupt Liberal interests in the civil service administration simply refuse to obey Harper’s directives and take all their orders from labour organization, not Conservative legislation.

I worry that will happen with Bill C-51 – local policing administration will ignore it and refuse to cooperate with CSIS.

Jean Chretien: Known as the “friendly dictator”. Fact is, the Liberal Party has been enamoured of dictators, thugs, and oppressive regimes since PET. PET Junior has admitted publicly to “admiration of communist dictatorships”. Referring specifically to China. Putin, in many regards is the Hitler of the 21st century. His policies on Ukraine mimic the “lebensraum” of Nazi Germany in the 1930’s. In the ’30’s, many individuals and Corporations cozied up to the Nazis in hopes of profiting from the arrangement. Chretien’s motives may be similar. Anything more would be sinister. I suspect certain Liberals know more about what is going on, and to discuss publicly would torpedo any possibility of forming Gov’t.

What was Chretien doing there? Shenanigans.

Putin is a putz. Russia promised in 1994 that he would respect Ukraine’s sovereignty. It is clear cut. No question.

Leena Gouin – it is Marissa’s opinion. The issue is, of course, quite controversial as you point out.

Anyone who still thinks the johnfather has any political integrity is just kidding him/herself.

Hmmm… Let’s see we have;

Justin who wants to cozy up to China’s dictatorship, Chretien who does cozy up to Russia’s dictatorship, Pierre Trudeau who did cozy up to dictators and who came from a communist party before he joined the Liberals.

And then we have Harper who seeks to strengthen relationships with the democratic non-dictatorship Western countries, who goes out of his way to seek HOC approval for what he has full right to do without HOC approval, that being sending troops.

And then the Liberals have the gall to call Harper a dictator!

That’s rich!

" We’d only be so lucky to have a leader like Putin"

We do have an ethically superior leader to Putin – we just have too many people with MSM lobotomies who don’t realize it.

Mo Strong didn’t fly in from his China no extradition sanctuary to take charge of the keeping of the meeting minutes?
Then it can’t be very important.

I bet the discussions were closed door to Canadian press, ans details hush hush. All this begs 2 questions:

1)What is a unelected, non government Quebec Power broker doing representing Canada to a foreign (hostile?) power and what right has he to swing ANY deal without Parliamentary scrutiny.

2) Does Cretin’s old boss and benefactor(Powercorp) have their hand up his tucas working his mouth. There is Powercorp money in China investment ( funneled there by Uncle Mo) Is a new deal with the works with the head of the Ruski Mafia? Powercorp and the Liberals always seem to want to give business to nations who are our direct competitors.

“….and you can’t use force to take territory from sovereign countries…” right on Marissa, because you know what? Russia will be taking from Canada next – the assumption is that Canada can’t defend the Arctic.
commented 2015-05-05 07:32:32 -0400
The Russians/Putin’s play is to take Arctic land from Canada to expand oil exploration.
Chretien is living off of Putin’s kickback to help facilitate taking oil rich Arctic lands from Canada and Canadian taxpayers.

Chretien is already an unconvicted treasonous communist pig and thief (adscam was the smallest ripoff scheme Chretien hatched during his terms as PM) so for Chretien to suck off Putin for more cash and sell out Canada again comes as no surprise.

Just more content for Conservative ads – look Canada, Putin’s best friend and oil ally is also promoting the liberal pigs of Canada. Hopefully Chretien dies from poor health before October.

Murderous dictator? really? We’d only be so lucky to have a leader like Putin who actually has SCRUPLES! Not good Rebel…I figured you’d know better than that.

Justin will have more “flexibility after the election”, to discuss secret meetings between Chretien and Putin. Something stinks here. You couldnt pay me enough to vote foe Trudeau and his minions.
