Jobs at stake as BC politicians engage in “Silly Slap Fight” over Site C dam

Christopher WilsonRebel Commentator

Recently, we’ve seen a wave of letters back and forth regarding the Site C dam.

First BC NDP leader John Horgan sent one urging BC Hydro CEO Jessica MacDonald to halt work.

Then Premier Christy Clark sent one to Horgan suggesting that halting work could cost us as much as $600M.

Next, BC Green leader Andrew Weaver sent his own letter to the Premier, and even the carpenters union sent a letter to John Horgan in support of Site C.

Canada Post may turn a profit this year from Site C letters alone!

It would be comical if the consequences weren't so serious. Consider that around 2,200 jobs are at stake, and this important energy project is vitally needed to meet future demand for electricity if current trends continue.

With that in mind, I caught up with our friend Jordan Bateman of the Independent Contractors and Business Association of BC.

Watch as we discuss why this group has thrown their support behind the Site C dam project, its unionized and non-unionized workers alike, and also discuss some of the criticisms that have emerged for the project and BC Hydro itself.

Weaver supported site C until he got elected….seems to be the way of politicians!
If BC uses the Ontario plan as a blueprint….the province will suffer for it. The green energy plan the Liberals have imposed on us is truly terrible!

Oh for Chrissakes!… What the bleep are Horgan/Weaver going to do to replace megawatts of clean hydro power for a hundred years with if not Site C… Wind generators on English Bay?… Not bloody likely!… So, Star Trek “dilithium crystals”?… What?

The Dippers love to bang on about reducing poverty, yet they are anxious to kill a project that will keep power affordable, forcing low-income ppl to choose between eating and heating.

600 million means nothing to the NDP , money grows on tress to them. And isn’t hydro a green energy in the first place? It will be a lot cleaner than the turbines or whatever they plan to put up. I wonder when they will admit that pushing for the non action on the pine beetle did lots of damage and caused the burning of how many trees which released how muck carbon into the air? Oh sorry , filthy green lefties never look in the damn mirror, they simply lay the blame and burden on others.

Horgan & Weaver look like a couple of Mafia thugs! We need Tony Soprano & Assoc. to ventilate the lunatics.
