Joel Pollak: Trump right to promote legal immigration in SOTU

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

On last night’s episode of The Ezra Levant Show, senior editor-at-large for Breitbart News, Joel Pollak, joined me to talk about President Trump’s second State of the Union address, which received a high approval rating in polls conducted right after the broadcast.

But, in a throw-away line that veered from the script, Trump suggested he wants more immigration than ever which seems to be at odds with the whole idea of a crackdown on immigration and the promised, but not yet delivered, wall.

Is there some way to square that circle?

American unemployment is at some of the lowest rates in recent history and last week Trump announced a “Buy American” provision so there’s going to be pressure from some factories who may want more cheap workers, yet the whole promise to the Rust Belt was that he would get them higher wages by cracking down on foreign imports.

Watch as Joel explains why he doesn’t think that restricting legal immigration is going to make American workers better off.

Trudeau is destroying our immigration system thru his open borders dictate.
Thousands of potential low-skilled workers who would be SCREENED for security, health, language and funds – are being denied the opportunity to fill those jobs in outlying areas (that Cdns don’t want or can’t fill), because Hussen is creating new programs to put the CRIMINAL border crossers in those jobs. Do you think those employers would rather hire one of Trudeau’s CRIMINAL aliens or a LEGAL work permit applicant? Trudeau is forcing those employers to hire criminals instead of honest legal applicants.
Honest, hard-working potential temporary foreign workers are being denied an opportunity to fill those jobs just because they can’t get to the USA and just walk into Justin’s embrace.

Joel is correct in saying that even the Canadian Immigration system (before Trudeau got in) is better than the US system.
A couple years ago, a confirmed story by, I believe the same Breitbart said that one Immigrant to the US brought in 72 of his relatives; all of this from a not so nice country.
