Joel Pollak: Media on trial during Alabama Senate race

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

On last night’s show, Breitbart.com’s Joel Pollak joined me to speculate on the outcome of the controversial special election in Alabama.

A big part of this story has been the media’s loss of credibility at what is a very politically sensitive time.

In the week leading up to the election, there’s been one fake news scandal after another putting the media on trial as much as, if not more, than Roy Moore.

Gloria Allred is going to wish she investigated before launching an assault via the media. She is in some hot water now!

The allegations seem credible.

We knew he was into much younger women, because he married one about the same time he was banned from that mall.

The TRUTH (capslock?)? We don’t know for sure, but it’s pretty hard to dismiss the allegations outright. They’re consistent and credible with each other, and pass some pretty robust fact-checking that occurs behind the scene. Remember how they caught the Veritas lady as a plant almost immediately? Just the involvement of Veritas is a huge red flag, indicating they’ve got a situation that can’t be refuted directly and need to set up a “shoot the messenger” narrative. Were they categorically false accusations, Moore would have been much more aggressive, and lawyer-ey in his response. He is one himself, after all. He was not – he does not want to be anywhere near a courtroom on this one. Ask yourself why that may be.

Even if you don’t buy it, his previous run ins with ethics violations should have given pause for concern. He was suspended from the state supreme court for basically advocating that Alabama didn’t need to obey federal laws… kind of a problem for a guy running for a political position within that same government, no? He was an unfit candidate no matter how you slice it.

I think your partisanship is blinding you.

No, go back to your vague conspiracies that do everything BUT acknowledge that the GOP picked a loser on this one. Even Trump has (somewhat laterally) acknowledged this.

Andrew do you care about the TRUTH? Doesn’t seem so. Now go be fooled by idiots like you usually are. The deep state won this one you mean, the media are still lying and full of sh*t.

You can’t just declare everything “fake news” and hope people buy it. The media was on trial… and it won.

I hope Moore sues the pants off these women. "

Why sue them (he would actually have to testify, and perjury’s a pretty nasty charge) when he can just go down to the mall and pull those pants off himself? I mean, they’ll be women some day, right?
