Joel Pollak: Democrats don't have a “winning message”

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

On last night's show, Joel Pollak of Breitbart joined me to discuss the anniversary of Trump's election and the tactics Democrat's are using to oppose the President.

Trump's takeover of the Republican party lead to the early retirement of establishment incumbents, with Trump-style candidates winning elections to replace them.

The Democrat's, fashioning themselves as "the resistance", are plagued by infighting between Clinton loyalists and radical Sander's style socialists.

WATCH our discussion to see why Joel thinks Democrats won't win back the American people if they continue to run on issues that don't resonate with the broader electorate.

Steve Bannon is said to have advised Donald Trump that as long as the Democrats keeping pushing identity politics they will not win. I believe, whatever your views about Bannon, that he landed on something very important. People generally don’t like being called racists. If you’re not a racist (and most aren’t) you deeply resent the insinuation that you are. If you are a racist, you’re not going to vote Democrat anyway. So you lose a lot of votes just by insinuating that if you’re not a member of a particular race you must be a racist. This alienates not only white voters but voters from races that aren’t from the purported oppressed racial group. On top of that, the insinuation that if you’re not from a particular race or other identity group, you are privileged and, as a result of that privilege, you owe some other group something is deeply offensive to millions of people who don’t feel the least bit privileged and in many instances are struggling just to get by. How identity politics comes across is “you’re guilty of heinous crimes against millions of people you don’t know and have never met just by virtue of being you”. So as long as the Dems keep playing this game they will keep losing. You will eventually see the same phenomenon here in Canada.

Oh I dunno Tammie… That pix made me feel warm all over… Sort of reminded me of Curly Bill and Laurey billing and cooing in Oklahoma’s “People Will Say We’re In Love”… But then I’m a sentimental old fool, eh?…

Andrew Stephenson the swamp is the problem and they bent over for Hillary , so it is their own damn fault. Trump will clean up some of the mess and it will benefit the dems in the future as well.

As we learned yesterday, they don’t need a message to win. Hillary was the problem – get rid of her and a burlap sack of soybeans could beat the GOP.

Iain very true, hate and megalomania.
As much as i despise commies, at least Sanders and his supporters are honest and up front about their ideals.

Iain, good post, that’s about it in a nutshell!
The photo of Obama and Hillary used for this report induces gag reflex!

… The Democrats have no message. All they have left is hate.
