During the Bush and Obama years, it became a truism that “young people got their news from Jon Stewart” on The Daily Show. The unabashedly liberal comedian was looked upon as the Walter Cronkite of Generation Y, for better or worse.
A native New Yorker, Stewart’s first show after the 9/11 attacks was the stuff of instant legend. Now, almost twenty years later, Stewart continues to advocate for the victims and survivors of that Islamic terrorist attack in his home town. The 9/11 Victims Compensation fund is running out of money, but Stewart praised the Trump administration for their handling of this fund.
File that under “things you never thought you’d live to see”!
