Journalists are losing their jobs — and I don’t care

Kurt SchlichterHost of Take That

Oh no, journalists are losing their jobs at an alarming rate.

Why, even coal miners are doing better. You know, the hard-working folks who the press were happy to see lose their jobs? Not a lot of sympathy from me. In fact, I’ve got a suggestion for all these out of work journalists — one that will sound a bit familiar to them…

In the meantime, networks like CNN, ABC, CBS, and MSNBC are bleeding millions in revenue dollars as advertisers withdraw ads… Political advertising going into the Nov. 6th elections is just a blip… After that, harsh reality sets in… I wouldn’t be surprised that after November the 6th, a lot of these “mind farts” are going to be called into the front office to explain just what “the bleep” they have been doing since Nov. 6th, 2016!…

Actually, I do believe there are jobs for real journalists even now… BUT, BUT they are definitely outside the New York and Eastern States, Chicago, and California, Oregon, Washington bubble… On the coasts, it remains “mind farts” passing for news…

I think there are jobs for journalists who tell the truth.
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..

Nope….they have to go freelance and self publish and their enemies are many. Most burn out or get marginalized.

I’m still waiting for a really significant number of these bum-patting inner circle types to wind up writing obits at the Podunk Valley Burp And Times… Up to then it is still these several hundred “inner circle” types blowing daily mind farts at each other, still believing that anyone is listening to them…

ROBERT MCCLELLAND 12 HR AGO…..I enjoyed that clip of Megan Kelly’s demise. It is a lesson on the endless power of the establishment, even when their target is capable of putting up a good fight.

I believe your story is an analogy to a question that I (and many here) have had for years, which is what makes apparently good people like Tony Blair, George Bush, Cameron, Merkel, Pope Francis, Obama and Trudeau SELL OUT their people and their countries to George Soris and Islam?
At first I thought it had to be Saudi, and Soris money; what else could it be?
It is the all powerful ESTABLISHMENT which can not only take away your money source, but also they can take away your ability to live by making the situation such, that your friends and relatives will be too embarrassed to go near you. That is worse than the money part.

I’m glad that there are exceptions like Trump.

“The impression of an independent press in America is part of the illusion.
In 1898, at an annual dinner of the American Press Association, John Swinton, the one-time editor-in-chief of the New York Times, was called upon to toast journalism and America’s free press.
He responded in a surprising way:

“There is no such thing in America as an independent press….”

“You know it and I know it. There is not one of you who dares to write his honest opinions, and if you did you know beforehand that it would never appear in print. I am paid $150.00 a week for keeping my honest opinions out of the paper I am connected with—others of you are paid similar salaries for similar things—and any of you who would be so foolish as to write his honest opinions would be out on the street looking for another job. The business of the New York journalist is to destroy the truth, to lie outright, to pervert, to revile, to vilify, to fawn at the feet of Mammon, and to sell his race and his country for his daily bread. You know this and I know it, and what folly is this to be toasting an “Independent Press.” We are tools and vassals of rich men behind the scenes. We are jumping-jacks; they pull the strings and we dance. Our talents, our possibilities and our lives are all the property of other men. We are intellectual prostitutes.”

“Mr. Swinton identified modern journalism as a crime:

“Journalism, once a profession, and then a trade, is now a crime.”

I don’t watch any Yank or Canadian TV news. The odd time if I’m flipping channels, I’ll watch the PBS news from Germany or France or Britain, but I quickly get sick of that because it’s even more cringingly left than CBC or CNN.

I haven’t subscribed to a newspaper in a couple of years. I had a subscription to the N. Post but I got sick of guys like Coyne. Then I went to the Ottawa Sun, but their local news department and editorial staff turned my stomach.

I do miss Furey, Goldstein, Blatchford, Black, Corcoran, Solomon, Gunter, and several others, but I won’t have one cent of my subscription money going to the likes of Coyne or Sherring. And besides, I’m no less informed about the state of affairs now than I was when I had subscriptions.

So, if a talented, honest, hard-working, tell-it-like-it-is journalist falls by the wayside, that’s a loss. But they are few and far between….and they usually keep their jobs. The rest? Maybe they’ll just have to go and find a real job.

Robert, I think Megan Kelly is a disgrace. She has shamed herself because she DID apologize for saying nothing inappropriate, to keep her job. She bent over for the post truther bullies. No respect.

The free market system at work. The only reason CNN is still going, and Stetler still has a job, is the same reason people believe what they see when they watch a Pallywood or an Al Gore production. They are gullible and don’t think for themselves. Lazy and dumb. People are getting sick to the back teeth of being lied to and lied about.
Stetler is slime and looks like a pedophile.

… Modern day “journalists” are a disgrace to a once noble profession.
… Only the rats survive.
