Yesterday I was browsing Facebook when a post from someone I didn't know appeared in my feed.
The post in question was accusing those who dislike the new Star Trek Discovery trailer as being racist. “It's amazing how many racist, sexist idiots are attacking the new Star Trek trailer because the main characters aren't white or male,” Dex Torricke-Barton wrote.
“Can't wait till they discover that the Federation is a multi-species United Nations, and Earth doesn't have money or national governments anymore,” he added.
This appeared in my feed because like millions of others, I follow Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg on Facebook. He just so happened to like this post in question. A post that doesn't hold very much merit to it.
Not to get too specific, but I checked out the trailer on YouTube and while there are comments accusing the show of pandering to an agenda by making the cast consist of women and minorities (affirmative action in action), there appears to be an equal amount of people taking an issue with the CGI, the fact it's a prequel, and the music.
And while it's no Ghostbusters (the likes still overwhelm the dislikes), it's not exactly a one-sided trailer in the like/dislike ratio department.
But that's not the topic of this post. Dex Torricke-Barton is Mark Zuckerberg's former speech writer and judging by what he's said in the past, he's extremely left-wing by anyone's standards.
For example, he implied that Marine Le Pen was part of the 'forces of hate' when Donald Trump congratulated Macron on winning the recent French election – noting how “tough” it must have been for the President to write.
In another recent post, he linked to an article about a judge blocking Trump's sanctuary cities order. “Looks like his plans ran into a bit of a wall #ImmigrantsWelcome,” he wrote.
There are so many problems with this, but the most obvious is the fact that sanctuary cities have NOTHING to do with immigrants. They have everything to do with ILLEGAL immigrants and harbouring them.
Another one of Dex's posts, this one also 'liked' by Zuckerberg should shine even more light onto how radically left Zuckerberg truly is.
MORE: Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg claims “we're all immigrants” in far-left, pro-illegal immigrant Facebook post
Back on February 28, Dex wrote “An American president is delivering a speech to Congress citing multiple examples of people who have been murdered by immigrants.
"Literally one of the most chilling examples of how to incite hatred of immigrants. A sad moment for a country that historically has welcomed so many of us.”
Again, we are talking about ILLEGAL immigrants and the problems they bring to the United States. For some one with so much schooling, it's sad that the word ILLEGAL is not in this man's vocabulary.
I've already detailed in other posts how Mark Zuckerberg wants a global government and open borders. His former speech writer actually claimed that there should be a “global anthem, a global currency and a global flag” after Trump said none of those things exist.
Zuckerberg has been known to drop hints of his left-wing ideologies in his posts, speeches and even Facebook likes. With control of the largest social network ever created at his finger tips, he has the ability to censor opinions, control a narrative and even influence elections.
Dangerous is putting it mildly.
