Justin Trudeau’s “Double-Double standard” tour doesn’t go as planned

Brian LilleyArchive

It was supposed to be a tour to rehabilitate his image to chip away at the idea that Justin Trudeau is a spoiled, elite, millionaire playboy hanging out on private islands with billionaires and accepting gifts he shouldn’t.

Now while we saw big crowds and adoring fans, Trudeau wound up insulting many of them, making silly statements and the tour is just as likely to be remembered for gaffes as anything else.

The tour is only half way through, having hit Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic Canada, but he still has to do the prairies and British Columbia.

Watch as I share some of the highlights with you.

Trudeau is now facing three official complaints to the commissioner of official languages over his bizarre performance in Sherbrooke, he’s the first PM in history to be investigated by the ethics commissioner over his free trip to a billionaire’s island, he claimed to understand the immigrant experience because of his wealthy, blue-blood grandfather, and he blamed the high hydro prices an Ontario woman complained about on our dependence on oil and said he couldn’t do much about it because it was provincial jurisdiction but then turned around and said Canada needs to phase out the oil sands and the oil industry - which is provincial jurisdiction!

This was supposed to be a tour that showed him as in touch, connected with the middle class and those working hard to join it.

Instead this tour just confirmed that Trudeau is extremely out of touch and that when taken off script, he is a hazard to his handlers.

When it comes to the concerns of ordinary Canadians, he really is just in way over his head.

UPDATE….Trudeau is under investigation by the Official Languages Commissioner for violation of The Official Languages Act. When dealing with the federal government all Canadian citizens are entitled to service and response in the official language of THEIR choice.

CALAMITY MARCY, “I agree that Brad Trost is good…He’ll have to pull up his socks with regard to ISIS, the military, veterans and firearms…”
With respect to firearms Brad Trost pushing for a reversal of C-68 in full, and for a sensible firearms policy that treats law-abiding, responsible gun owners with the respect they deserve. an article about his position that appeared in Calibre Magazine which has a series introducing all of the candidates:

As far as immigration and ISIS, this from a recent post at his Facebook page:
But the greatest threat to these commitments and Canadians’ way of life is terrorism motivated by Islamic extremism.
That is why as Leader of the Opposition I will push, and as Prime Minister I will introduce legislation, to shut down immigration to Canada from countries that support, encourage or harbour terrorists or Islamic extremism.
Let me be clear: No immigrants from countries that support, encourage or permit Islamic extremism.
But . . . genuine refugees (which presumably would include Christians undergoing genocide) from countries that support, encourage or harbour terrorists or Islamic extremism will be welcome!

I hope Little Potato keeps doing these tours! He is providing so much good material to use against him in the next election.

I attended the liberal love fest in Dartmouth to ask hard ball questions and it was a gravol moment. All softball questions appearing very scripted and still had problems answering them. The level of incompetence is actually staggering. We are about to be crushed by the Trump presidency

Trudeau is the biggest brand bust since Ford introduced the infamous “Edsel”. He is still going to be featured on the front page of “The Star” and in info adds on The National masquerading as the news. But Canadians are on to him and his childish act. All news about Trudeau is fake because he is totally fake. And the media in its entirety is fake.
The only thing that isn’t fake are the disastrous policies that these Eco-Marxists , Trudeau, Notley and Wynne are forcing on Canadians. And they have loads more time to screw us even more.

It’s January 20th already in Washington… From now on The Boy Blunder can start counting the hours until reality really starts biting him in the ass… And, unfortunately, the rest of us Canadians…

I guess the only thing that matters now is..
“how do the Francophones feel about it”

Trudeau, the kid is clueless & since when is it not allowed to speak english if you’re in Quebec & is that how you bring the country together by dividing them using language to do it. I believe what he did is called discrimination. This kid annoys me to no end & his little tour is meaningless & costly, again can’t do anything right, but sure knows how to spend the money. One things for sure, Trump at the age of 70 can run circles around Trudeau, so maybe Trudeau should have stayed home & gone to the gym instead.

So Justin, what do you think my perception of you is ?
Je pense que vous êtes une personne très peu profonde.
So Justin, are you really the one making these important decisions ?
Non, j’ai du personnel pour cela. Je suis trop occupé à planifier des vacances pour Sophie et mon personnel.
Merci a tou, bonsoir.
Vive la Quebec.

Heh heh, can hardly wait for the reactions in western Canada.

As Brian has stated this was a damage control PR campaign, that, although it didn’t go horribly wrong, it failed to gain them back the trust lost in his leadership and may have lost them more trust in this PM’s competency/honesty than they can cover for – when this kind of grand PR stunt does not bear fruit, it is a sign the regime is in popular support decline – support will constantly erode form here on , unless Justin can pull a 1960s era miracle boom out of his pampered butt, he will not see a second term as a majority government leader.

Public trust – once it’s lost it can never be regained.

In the HoC Question Period when a question is asked in English the response must be in English, and vise-versa.

Yet, Trudeau is breaking even that requirement by answering English question with French. That is an intentional direct insult to English speaking people.

Ignorance is bliss, right Justin.

Junior’s performance on the “Love Me Do Tour” reminds me of the old Bill Cosby Show “Kids Say the Darndest Things”.

Ahhhh….but the Laurentian elites are in their safe space, along with the welfare bums of the maritime and Quebec. It is the suburbs of Toronto we have to thank for Baby Doc.

West of Southern Ontario had the intelligence, for the most part, to vote for someone real. Yes, as a person opposed to NDP, I recognized Mulcair as someone real, and don’t begrudge.
