Kenney's by-election victory a referendum on Notley's carbon tax

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Host | The Gunn Show

It was a big win for Jason Kenney this week. He took nearly 72% of the vote in the Calgary-Lougheed by-election.

Every thinking person saw this coming. If you didn't, you haven't been paying attention.

Today I break down what the by-election results really mean for the United Conservative Party, for Rachel Notley and for the province going forward.

The good folks of Calgary-Lougheed just got as close as they're ever going to get to a referendum on Rachel Notley's carbon tax.

And they've spoken loud and clear.

RON JOSEPH… No, its certainly not “tomatos”…. I think it’s mainly hay for feed and some short-season types of rye… Both of which can obviously be grow off of the flood plain…

ANDY NEIMERS—-RE. “Flood Plain Farmers near Fort St. John”, I can never figure out what can they Grow up there?? They have a 2.5 month growing season.
I lived 1,300 km south of there, and we couldn’t grow a Tomato.
I think they are farmers that can only grow a Government hand out.

One thing is for sure lets not take for granted that Kenny is going to win as we have to take on the world wide forces whom seek to destroy anything conservative . I mean just look who we have for leaders in this country (& the world) between foreign money ,MSM ,globalist’s & our own brain washed socialist citizens the deck is most definitely stacked against us!

Needless to say, that new “dance” is going to involve a lot of “indignant” first nations and “flood plain farmers” having to be royally rewarded…. B.S. as it may be…
commented 2017-12-17 03:09:45 -0500
Indeed Ron Joseph…. But given the split over “SiteC” between the two “Horgan/Weaver Tango” partners, maybe a new “dance” is in the works?…

I worry that Kenney will peak too early and the public will be sick of him by the time the election comes . (18 MONTHS)
Having said the above, I see why everyone is so excited. In BC we not only have 4 years of NDP, but we also have to listen to their Green partners.

Andy Niemers, I’m looking forward to the fireworks!

So, somebody please tell me – when does Kenny first get to confront the Catcher’s Mitt in the Legislature?…

Now, his next step is to:
“work to broaden his party’s support in the NDP’s Edmonton stronghold, and to recruit a “diverse” group of candidates including LGBTQ community members and women.

So, in another words, become a CINO.

This is obviously fake news since Frank has decreed that Canadians do not vote conservative. Down with the Rebel and their refusal to toe the virtual reality line.

The two parties combined got 63% in the previous election, so 71% for a star candidate is pretty much what you’d expect. It’s not so much a referendum on anything so much as a commentary on splitting the vote.

Now, his next step is to:
"work to broaden his party’s support in the NDP’s Edmonton stronghold, and to recruit a “diverse” group of candidates including LGBTQ community members and women.

“I will be making a very deliberate effort to reach out to women candidates,” he said in an interview Friday."

Muta Ween – I agree, Jason will need every bit of support from all those who believe in freedom and democracy. The NDP control the MSM with our money. You can’t read the paper, or turn on the radio without listening to the socialist drivel and scoldings, as they shake their pointy fingers at us. Jason has a strong character, and not only that, he’s an experienced and seasoned politician with his federal experience, which is exactly what we need here in AB. Many of us are counting on him to give Notley the boot, and bring our economy back from communist extinction!

Alberta has to be the centre of the resurgence of basic common sense ,reason and liberty.
Most of us here realize this country is in serious trouble. We need to give undivided support to Kenney as he moves forward to defeat this Marxist Premier and her Party.

I hope and wish all thinking Albertans find a “Flush Notley” lawn sign under their Christmas tree on Christmas morning…

Alberta just got a little bit brighter today.
God willing we are another step closer to getting rid of this Venezuelan Socialist Notley Governance.
Everyday between now and the next Provincial election is a professional workday for freedom loving libertarians who long to take Alberta back from the devil. (Figure of speach)
Don’t get sucked into arguing and fighting nonsensical meaningless ideologoical NDP speak.
I can’t wait for the day this province hands Notley her walking papers.
Saskatchewan lived it for years upon years. Let’s not follow that example. Four years is long enough.

You predicted 71% with Ezra. Good call. “If the world hates you remember it hated me first “ Jesus Christ at the last supper. Prayers are very powerful but the crusades and the battle of lepanto proves it’s not enough.
I find joy in destroying evil.
God love you
Merry Christmas

Maybe Jason Kenney can celebrate by coming back on the rebel to do an interview?

I’m also happy with the results, however a Fence Post with hair on it could have beaten the NDP in that riding.

Eat your heart out NDP rats. I can’t wait to see you scatter.

The victory wasn’t unexpected. The size of the victory was, big time. So now Notley will have to face Kenney for the rest of her term in office.

Motley Notley, eat your heart out.
