Kevin Johnston: Failure of leadership makes us “deathly afraid” of crossing hate speech line

David MenziesMission Specialist

Even though Peel Regional Police have charged journalist Kevin J. Johnston with a hate crime for ostensibly hurting someone’s feelings, that doesn’t mean the man who calls himself "The Jackal" is going to go away.

Nor does he plan to keep his mouth shut.

On the contrary, Kevin visited the Zionist Centre in Toronto on Monday night, and he was as defiant as ever.

Are you mad because I pointed out the truth?

“Country with the smallest gender wage gap

Egypt, where the World Economic Forum says the gender wage gap is 18 cents – so women can expect to earn 82 cents for every dollar a man gets.

(Canadian women, by comparison, can expect to earn about 73 cents, placing us 35th in the ranking.)

Country with the most female politicians

Rwanda. In the African country, as of February, women held 45 of the 80 seats in Parliament. By comparison, in Canada, which ranks 45th in the Inter-Parliamentary Union study, men outnumber women in Parliament by a ratio of 3 to 1.

Top country for women in positions of power

Jamaica, where there are more women than men serving as legislators, officials or managers (59 per cent vs. 41 per cent, according to the World Economic Forum). Canadian reality check: We rank 31st, with 36 per cent women vs. 64 per cent men.

Country most friendly to female billionaires

China. According to a recent Forbes study, the Asian nation has a “uniquely high” number of self-made women among its richest citizens – a trend the report credits, in part, to communism, which forced gender equality, and created an attitude shift that guides business today."

“Ayan Ray by your definition your own comment is a crime, you are assuming such about whites in your comment you moron.”

I am simply reporting facts.

The top 10 Canadian cities for sexual assault (including rape) crimes (Rates, in brackets, are incidents per 100,000 population):

1. Saint John, N.B. ( 123.9 )
2. Victoria ( 113.6 )
3. Fredericton ( 109.8 )
4. Peterborough-Lakefield, Ont. ( 107.4 )
5. North Bay, Ont. ( 106.8 )
6. Medicine Hat, Alta. ( 98.1 )
7. Edmonton ( 92.2 )
8. Shawinigan Region, Que. ( 91.5 )
9. Winnipeg ( 88.5 )
10. Thunder Bay, Ont. ( 84.3 )

Canadian average ( 59.58 )

They all have one thing in common – they are predominantly White, Christian cities.

As per your link, the most dangerous country in the world is the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

95% of the people in the Democratic Republic of the Congo are Christians.

Those of us who are on red alert and have been sounding the alarm will be the ones that disappear in the night. And once all the sane ones are gone, there won’t be anyone left to save the ignorant ones, as this world descends into darkness. When there are no rules and no morals left in the world, then madness will ensue. Evil is upon us, but if you are a believer in Jesus Christ then don’t fret because he’s coming back for us, whether we are dead or alive at the time.

“Although the rate of police-reported violent crime declined overall, violent violations which experienced an increase in rate were: sexual violations against children (30%), violations causing death other than homicide (14%), offences related to the commodification of sexual activity (11%), aggravated sexual assault (6%), forcible confinement or kidnapping (4%), threatening or harassing phone calls (3%), the use of, discharge, and pointing of firearms (3%), assault with a weapon or causing bodily harm (1%) and aggravated assault (+1%). "

Thanks for highlighting the crimes being committed in predominantly White Christian cities.

“A crime is defined as provable damage consciously done to a peaceful individual _ first off, because of the court ban on release/discussion of the facts of the charges we have no idea what the alleged damage is, if it’s provable and whether the accused is directly culpable – so the snowflake asshats condemning Johnston before the fact is just so much fascist just diaper-wetting.

Secondly a law that so loosely defines the terms of criminal damage is open to challenge. In any reasonable application of criminal law “hurt feelings” does not constitute a criminal breach or damage."

Learn to read.

The Criminal Code of Canada says a hate crime is committed to intimidate, harm or terrify not only a person, but an entire group of people to which the victim belongs. It applies when the victims are targeted for who they are, not because of anything they have done, and can involve intimidation, harassment, physical force or threat of physical force against a person, a group or a property.

@ Terence G. Gain – section 1 of the charter reduces 800 years of civil rights to government dispensed privileges – we see the “demonstrably justified” test for legislated truncation of basic civil rights reduced to a politically appointed judicial rubber stamp for state authoritarianism.

Ayan Ray and what about other countries where Christians are the minority and the crime rate is ridiculous? Oh sorry you like to use false cherry picking since you are a filthy bigot. Funny how Edmonton’s murder rate went up when many Somalis showed up and set up roots. And sorry to tell you, the murders rate in their area was the problem , none of your BS will change that.

Johnston is not really my poster boy for free speech but if he can be oppressed for an “offensive” opinion – so can you – his rights are your rights and if you are too ideologically/partisan blinded to see that, you are a negative force in a progressed society.

Ray – statistical lying is old hat – and your source is suspect of diddling “crime” – violent crime is being lumped in with j-walking here

GTA has seen a massive increase in shooting homicides in 2016-17 over 26% increase – other separate locales are similar so the “overall” stat does not tell the whole story – making crime a race issue is the most anti-intellectual argument yet. Crime is crime and lying about it to make a political point is verging on crime.

It’s not about the text of the words that come out.

It’s where it leads.

If a non-retard can guess that the probability of violence against members of the group being mentioned will increase as a result of the smears, then this meets the definition of a hate crime.

Moreover, if a non-retard can guess that random members of the group would be more likely to experience diverse negative treatments unrelated to their individuality but solely on the basis of being a member of the smeared group, then this may also meet the definition of hate speech.

If someone has some specific grievances to mention, say so.
commented 2017-08-03 20:04:30 -0400
It is not simply a matter of censoring things that might offend…or even making people feel like they are under the magnifying glass and the searchlight….it is a matter of curtailing the right to express grievance.

If THAT is taken away…then there really is no point in having a legal system at all.

Growing up I learned the importance of not being a racist but never dreamed that the accusation of being racist would be a tool wielded by governments to smear any political opponent they wanted to defeat. It isn’t just us they used it on but they will turn it against their own people because it’s all about winning at any cost regardless of who gets destroyed in the aftermath. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AbKzhYDDv0k Politics is a dirty business.
