A burqa-clad woman has been charged after she allegedly robbed a Subway sandwich shop on Main Street, Croydon on Saturday.
According to 3AW, the knife-wielding woman was given a large quantity of cash from a victim and then left the store.
Two people have been arrested for the incident. A 38-year-old was charged with armed robbery and associated offences, and a 21-year-old woman from Narre Warren is assisting with inquiries.
In addition, the pair were charged over three other armed robberies, at a fast-food outlet on Breed Street in Morwell, a service station in Morwell, and a business in Traralgon on Monday.
