Justin Trudeau continues making questionable hires despite the outcry for a stricter vetting process.
The Prime Minister’s choice to hire Julie Payette as Governor General amidst reports that she was once charged with second degree assault was scrutinized.
Even CBC questioned Trudeau’s silence on the charges and further questioned the federal government’s hiring standards.
Payette is a very well qualified Canadian astronaut with an impressive resume that includes speaking six languages and a stint as an engineer with IBM, but she also has a muddy past.
But now Trudeau's senior aide, Gerald Butts, has not only appointed his friend Rana Sarkar as Canada's Consul-General to San Francisco, he has also doubled his salary!
Watch as I share a few incidents that lend credence to the idea that this new consul-general job and the double salary that comes with it look like other cases of Liberal elites being rewarded with “friend” benefits.
Admittedly, Sarkar is qualified for this position. He’s no slouch and neither is Julie Payette, but what do they have in common?
Well, I think they show that it’s not always the qualifications that get you a job with the PM but rather, whether you help fill a quota. And, if you’re a friend, that cushy job comes with double the salary.
