Changing how Christians — and liberals — respond to terror (Guests: Faith Goldy, Andrew Lawton)

Lauren SouthernArchive

With the Berlin attack yesterday (which the Islamic State appears to have taken responsibility for) tensions are high to say the least. The attacks in Turkey and Zurich came as a shock to the world as well, but to those of us who have been paying attention, they’re hardly a shock at all.

There's a new terrorist attack every single day. We just don't hear about them after the mainstream media is done burying it or twisting it into some sort of "the truck did it" nonsense.

It's hard to fool people for this long though, when so many lives are being lost and the core values of nations are undermined people start to notice, especially Christians who have been the main target of these Islamic and cultural attacks.

What are they to do, though? So many Christians feel a need to avoid being called bigots and to open their arms to the entire world. Is this the proper response? Can Christianity survive while it is in a fetal position and being so violently attacked?

I speak to Faith Goldy about her thoughts on what Christians need to do to fight back against radical Islam while staying true to their values.

I also speak to Andrew Lawton on why liberals so shamelessly excuse or defend terrorism.

(NOTE: At the time of filming this show, a Pakistani refugee was the only suspect for the terror attack in Berlin. However, new information has shown that he has been released. ISIS has also claimed responsibility for the massacre.)

The House of Saud will soon fall. I love Faith Goldy’s passion here. 1% of any people who are radicalized is a massive problem. Just the facts Mam!

To SHAE GUERIN, Zeus and Apollo do exist as ideas and tools of human understanding and behaviour. Your statement that says believers must prove they don’t exist, actually supports the idea of a Christian God as it too is an idea and a tool for human existence and human behaviour modification. If a hammer drives the nail or an idea gathers the people, then they are just as real as anything else, just in different forms.

Christianity? Belief in a god? Hmm. It’s so nice that people have something external to keep them going. But a comment was made: “prove to me there is no god” – sorry, that’s not how that works. You believers need to prove to me that Zeus and Apollo don’t exist, and I’ll use that argument.

Lauren, in your concluding remarks you pointed out, “We are ‘bigots’ for having reasonable fears regarding Islam. It’s stupid to not be Islamophobic”. In that respect your sentiments are aligned with those of Lt. Gen. Michael T. Flynn, since selected by Trump to be his National Security Adviser, who in February tweeted the following: “Fear of Muslims is RATIONAL: please forward this to others: the truth fears no questions”, and provided a link to the following video to support his claim:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tJnW8HRHLLw&channel=CleanTVcom
Oh, that we had such conservative politicians and leaders in Canada, who, like Trump, are willing to boldly step up and say that we need to hit the pause button, recognize Islam for what it is, and be willing to speak out!

Thanks for that Lauren. I think you are correct that the time is coming where the truth will be harder to be ignored and spun by the media party. When that happens the sheep will have to lower their noses and actually see what is on the horizon and appreciate that action must be taken. I have hope that eventually the sheep be forced to see the hard cold truth and will at least stay out of the way of the ones who know what has to be done. That is all I ask of those who’s moral vanity out weigh their common sense. Just stay the heck out of the way and let the grownups deal with this threat. That day is coming.

The thing about religion, organized religion, is that life abhors a vacuum and if you don’t have religion on some level, whether organised or a deeply held personal sense of spirituality, then evil can and does seep in. Islam is one such evil. Any good bits Islam seems to possess have so many ‘qualifications’ as to render any of the good right out of it. The barbaric acts of violence promoted by Islam today against non believers is unparalleled anywhere else, no matter how hard it’s followers attempt to draw parallels between Islam and Christianity. ‘You’ have to hold something in your heart or some ‘other’ will do it for you.

MAREK, thanks for your thoughtful comments. As pointed out by Fyodor Dostoevsky, "If there is no God, everything is permitted.” indeed.
According to famed atheist and evolutionist Richard Dawkins:
“In a universe of blind physical forces and genetic replication, some people are going to get hurt, other people are going to get lucky, and you won’t find any rhyme or reason in it, nor any justice. The universe we observe has precisely the properties we should expect if there is at bottom, no design, no purpose, no evil and no good , nothing but blind pitiless indifference…DNA neither cares nor knows. DNA just is. And we dance to its music.”

Of course you don’t need to believe in God to do good works – but it sure helps. Because, if one assumes that atheism is correct, and there is no such thing as objective Good and Evil, then there is only subjective meanings for these ideas. These are almost certain to vary from person to person (hence, for instance, the fact that many people from certain unnamed societies consider the killing of family members under the auspices of “honor” to be “good”. As Trudeau says, this is not barbaric, but simply a different cultural practice.) Good or evil then become just abstract concepts that we thinking beings impose on reality, according to … what? The best bet might be Evolutionary Theory, which would suggest that we do it (as we do anything, according to this theory) because it increases our chances of passing on our genes (being “nice” to someone will benefit you, may even get you a mate, so it is reinforced by evolution). On the other hand, consistently stealing from people may lessen your life expectancy, and therefore your chances of passing on your genes.

The trouble is, (or one of them) if you can lie and steal from your “friends”, and betray them when it suits your purposes – and get away with it – this would be the logical thing to do. There is no higher code of ethics to which you are accountable, so you would be a fool not to do it if you can get away with it. And this type of behaviour would be rewarded by evolution – the smart, successful, charismatic liars and cheats, even murderers, would tend to pass on their genes and thrive. They would be “good” in this sense (that is, successful in evolutionary terms).

This is the bleak and ugly reality of a world without God – I am not making an argument for God’s existence here (though there are plenty of strong ones out there) but only describing what some of the consequences for morals and ethics are, if one assumes that there is no objective meaning to good (as personified in God). Atheism, though it may be correct, seems to me to be a very sad way to go through life, when it is followed to its logical endpoints, at least. I once saw a summation of the (then) two principle schools of atheistic thought described thusly:

Humanity is stranded on a sinking ship, with no way off, and no way to save itself (from death and meaninglessness). Nietzsche’s suggestion was to therefore put on a smart military uniform and stand at attention, saluting as you go under. Sartre, on the other hand, would suggest that you rush down to the galley for a last drink and hand of poker with the guys. Either way, there is an underlying despair.

Mark Sherman said, “Mette Reed…Nonsense. You don’t need guidance from an imaginary friend to be a good person. If that is the only thing that keeps you from doing nasty things, I am sorry for you.”

Can you prove that God is imaginary?

I am assuming that you “live by” science, facts, and evidence. So use science and prove God does not exist.

If you cannot, then is your declaration, stated in no uncertain terms, that God is imaginary based upon scientific evidence or just your opinion?

Mette Reed said, “Trying to get the church to wake up is like pulling teeth.”

Like trying to pull hen’s teeth, actually.

An atheist was seated next to a little girl on an airplane and he turned to her and said, “Do you want to talk? Flights go quicker if you strike up a conversation with your fellow passenger.”

The little girl, who had just started to read her book, replied to the total stranger, “What would you want to talk about?”

" Oh, I don’t know," said the atheist. “How about why there is no God, or no Heaven or Hell, or no life after death?” as he smiled smugly.

“OK,” she said. “Those could be interesting topics but let me ask you a question first. A horse, a cow, and a deer all eat the same stuff – grass. Yet a deer excretes little pellets, while a cow turns out a flat patty, but a horse produces clumps. Why do you suppose that is?”

The atheist, visibly surprised by the little girl’s intelligence, thinks about it and says, “Hmmm, I have no idea.”

To which the little girl replies, “Do you really feel qualified to discuss why there is no God, or no Heaven or Hell, or no life after death, when you don’t know shit?”

And then she went back to reading her book.

We have been blessed by God because we have acknowledged him in our society.
As we remove him from our institutions, he is removing his hand of protection. Trying to get the church to wake up is like pulling teeth.

A Rebel Fan said, "There must be some other way to help people besides just plucking them from the Middle East and putting them into a culture and climate that everyone knows they will have to adjust to because it is all new to them. "

Even though I am all in support of helping real actual refugees that promise to live by our laws and bring them to Canada (in limited numbers), I think the best way to help those in need is to give the money to a reputable organization that will supply aide in the foreign country (funds for abroad relief also limited).

Liberals (merkal)put white roses at the terrorist attack in Germany ??? seems to me the time for flowers and speeches is over. It will be soon enough a time for bullets and fighting back. Europe will be attacked again and again and the people will only take so much. merkal caused these deaths with a reckless open door policy I doubt roses will do much for the victims family. No doubt another round of condemning the attacks from the so called leaders who caused this will take place. When will enough be enough, how many more have to die before these progressive idiots SEE THE DEATH AND DESTRUCTION THEY HAVE CAUSED.

John Williams said, “I hope liberals will soon see the mistake Europe made.” Sorry, John, ain’t gonna happen. That is the first and second pillar of leftiedom: 1. They never learn from their mistakes. 2. They never learn from the mistakes of others. 3. They refuse to exercise discernment.

Only prolonged personal pain seems to have any effect on effecting a paradigm shift for them.

Look at the priorities of the left. When people are getting killed, the left are busy with making MTV videos on white male privilege, getting university men’s sports team suspended, or grumbling about stereotypes. The left refuses to acknowledge the big evils, and focuses on the false bigotries.

Great show in the light of such a horrific week of murders day after day after day. I sadly think we are going to watching this program from Europe for a long time. I hope North America can always stand string against this barbarism. We have the luxury of watching Europe burn while we prepare our defense. I hope liberals will soon see the mistake Europe made. How many more assassinations can they witness before they admit there is a problem! Shame on them and their Europeon friends for refusing to see a problem in the first place. Shame on them for thinking an element in the periodic table is more dangerous. What do you fear most….Co2 or radical Islamists?

I guess if someone used a bat for a gay bashing it would just be the bats doing , not the actual person doing the swinging. Oh sorry , i forgot , only progressives can decide when an inanimate object commits a crime.

A Rebel Fan writes: “There must be some other way to help people besides just plucking them from the Middle East and putting them into a culture and climate that everyone knows they will have to adjust to because it is all new to them.”
However, more and more it looks like the motive never was to help people, but to destroy and take over other cultures, especially Western and Christian.

Excellent Show, Lauren.

One thing is certain, if we do not stop Trudeau and his Crew of Cretin’s, Canada will shortly cease to exist. I am not suggesting that we go out and shoot Trudeau, though the idea dose have some merits but we certainly need to slow him down.

A referendum should be called, this is completely legal and nobody get’s hurt, other than the innocents who are killed while we wait for the Government to make it’s decisions on the best way to stop a referendum.

If the general public sits back and dose nothing, then the general public will be committing mass suicide.

You need to do more shows on this subject Lauren.

I loved the closing summation: yes, it should be possible to show love or kindness, even to those who wish us harm, but we can do that without harming our own societies and risking our own security and well-being. Mass Muslim immigration is harming our societies in the West, plain and simple. The obvious solution is not increased security, restricting free speech (translation: criticism or simple discussion of Islam and immigration): it is putting a stop to mass Muslim immigration.

And Andrew Lawton was right: Lauren is an optimist! I hope she correct in her prediction that people will receive more honest information about this issue in the future, thanks to the increased importance of sites like the Rebel, and the decline of the MSM. And that this will in turn prompt people to advocate for serious and solid policy changes from our politicians. And soon, because as much as anything else, this is a demographics and numbers game.

There must be some other way to help people besides just plucking them from the Middle East and putting them into a culture and climate that everyone knows they will have to adjust to because it is all new to them. Maybe having people immigrate to a culture and climate that is strange to them is not so much help after all, not for them or anyone else.
