Leaders Debate: Ezra Levant explains why every Canadian should be worried

Rebel Staff

Stephen Harper — whatever else you may think about him — has a mastery of Canada’s economy. It’s not just that he’s an economist by profession. It’s that he has steered Canada through a series of world economic crises since the 2008 Great Recession. Real life experience — what works and what doesn’t. And unlike his thinly-briefed opponents, he knows exactly how much the government has spent on everything from veterans to bridges.

Justin Trudeau and Thomas Mulcair couldn’t care less about reality — they have other things on their minds.

Price fixed daycare will result in the same thingas all other state imposed price fixing…..line ups of people not served and a predictable volume of black market

Justin Trudummy is canada’s version of obama,an economic illiterate with a soft spot for communism.Lets not forget uncle fidel was tight with trudeau’s dad and attended his funeral. This clown would take the ontario model and put it on a national scale. We all know the destruction the liberals have caused in ontario,if this stooge wins say hello to greece .

Mulcair’s main point was that he comes from a large family and how great he and his family are. I don’t like people that brag on especially about their own family and themselves. It shows weakness in character and very little concern for anyone else. Who needs this self absorbed braggart to lead Canada.

The lady in purple said small business is not the primary jobs provider. She is wrong. Utterly wrong.

Globe and Mail are quoted daily inside QP by the liberals as the GOSPEL

To me, Trudeau just sounds desperate. Must have memorized everything he has said.

I agree Globe and Mail .. They are always liberal bias. I wouldn’t trust him with our great country nor the economy. It’s a shame How. They do not acknowledge the great work Mr Harper has done to bring us through the best of all the country in the world through depression. And don’t let Justin fool you. He is a drama teacher and that’s all

Thank you Rebel Media for providing the Globe and Mail Leader’s Debate

Mr.Trudeau is the clear winner for me with this debate.

My Thoughts: I appreciate the answers all candidates Mr. Harper, Mulcair and Trudeau came prepared with for tonight’s debate. Economically I’m open to Trudeau’s deficit proposal bur Mr Mulcair’s plan for long tern 1.5 billion per year investment plan seems a wiser and much safer path to pursue. With Mr Harper take on today’s messy economy I’m reminded of his poor track record spending 1 Billion per year into a stupid war that Trudeau’s liberals got us into in the first place – specifically Gordon O Connor’s war of 911 retribution in Afghanistan an eye for an eye for 24 Canadians killed on 9/11. The NDP did not want us in going to war just when 70% of Canadians in the early years were also against that expensive war that has not accomplished very much. Today almost all Canadians have no clue what we have accomplished in Afghanistan except death and destruction and a lot of our vets now home are being ignored and overlooked by The Harper Government not willing to tax the rich. Im sorry none of this waste was not brought up by Mulcair…

I think it’s true what Mr Trudeau said about Mulcair’s party member’s disregard for Canada’s Rights and Freedoms – I’m alarmed with 1 NDP MP close ties with Marxist Leninist who have long hated freedom of speech of average Canadians and freedom of the press more that what the Harper ever has displayed with disregard with the press. I’m hoping the NDP has the wisdom once elected to distance themselves from Communists. Though I over heard during a recent rally in Edmomton Mr Mulcair Micro-manages his team the same way as Mr Harper – That’s not cool with me…

I’m confident with both Trudeau and Mulcair who could easily step into the Prime Ministers Office with integrity and competency that’s needed to run our country. Mulcair has the edge for me to run a Minority Government because of his experience but maybe its time we old folks get out of the way and let some young blood like Trudeau TAKE TOP JOB.

Mr Harper is in serious denial that our nation is in economical trouble no thanks to his and Alberta’s Conservative Governments – his blaming our economy on world economies is a cop out for not taking responsibilities for his own wasteful spending Government. He’s too arrogant to continue leading our nation… He’s Fired!

Over-all these leaders did well in the debate but Mr.Trudeau is for me was the clear winner with this debate.
As one Canadian I am very excited with the election because it’s a promising minority government. I hope never to see another majority Government in my final years on this earth.

“That creepy smile of Mulcair…….wolf in sheep’s clothing comes to mind……!”

My 13 and 15 year old and I just finished watching the debate and said the VERY SAME THING!!!

In order to keep my sanity I’ve been muting dumb and dumber when they speak because as far as I’m concerned they have nothing of any substance to say. I’m sure the pundits will probably give this debate to the two idiots who yelled the loudest but I already have given this debate to Mr. Harper just for the fact that he has respect for the others on the dais.

Extremely disappointed by Justin Trudeau. Def doesn’t have the likeable factor. Seem to have a bully approach. Think Justin is the big loser.

This debate threw into sharp relief the difference between a competent economist and leader like Stephen Harper and and the socialist alternative, which would be a disaster for Canada. Harper has faults, but he shines next to JT and Mulcair.

That guy said Mulcair was the calmest? What a lie!

The Globe and Mail should NEVER be allowed to run a debate again. That was a trainwreck.

all Justin and Tom want is to get their hands on the surplus money Mr Harper has created. Mr Harper has brother us through troubled times and I trust him to continue on this. Justine is an air head puppet on a string who will really not be the leader of his party but all the has been leaders will be telling him what to do.
Now I just heard Nanghi from Calgary having something to do with this debate. But a farce he is.

Trudeau the LIAR. He is still saying that Harper made cuts to Veterans, Aboriginals, Seniors even though FACTS show the opposite. Then he has the nerve to keep saying: “I am being honest with you”.

Well Ezra, Harper won against the clowns. Now lets watch CBC spin this one!
