Leaders Debate: Ezra Levant explains why every Canadian should be worried

Rebel Staff

Stephen Harper — whatever else you may think about him — has a mastery of Canada’s economy. It’s not just that he’s an economist by profession. It’s that he has steered Canada through a series of world economic crises since the 2008 Great Recession. Real life experience — what works and what doesn’t. And unlike his thinly-briefed opponents, he knows exactly how much the government has spent on everything from veterans to bridges.

Justin Trudeau and Thomas Mulcair couldn’t care less about reality — they have other things on their minds.

Watch: Ezra Levant's reaction to The Globe and Mail's Leader's Debate

Watch: Brian Lilley sets the stage on each leader’s economic policy.

commented 2015-09-17 21:32:02 -0400
Trudeau – YOUR party and the NDP FORCED us into a deficit in 2008, and now you’re slamming Harper for deficit financing? You’re a hypocrite!

Why does justiepoo remind me of obama? And what does the Fed govt have to do with buildin recreation centres, etc? That’s local and provincial. I want the Fed Govt to ensure our safety, build our military and ensure no terrorists are entering with the so-called refugees.

Peter – ever heard of vertical farms?

“If you let us borrow ten+ billion a year, we will invest in infrastructure. And by infrastructure, we mean one transgender bathroom in every one of your children’s elementary schools….
….c’mon….it’s not like it’s ALWAYS a one person contract. Stephen Harper is way too polite to be our Prime Minister anyway.”

Is the Globe and Mail having a love-in with their little buddy Justin Mohamed

The JT transit thing is the Premier from Ontario talking. She wants money for Toronto.

Derek. Wrong. You would end up using the land to grow hemp for oil to make plastics when that land should be used to grow food. Plus, you could never grow enough to meet the demands for oil.

It’s a shame Mr Trudeau that the Premiers are not spending federal funds in all the things you’re talking about..infrastructure etc..etc..
commented 2015-09-17 21:29:11 -0400
Is Trudeau speaking or Whynne ? …..
commented 2015-09-17 21:28:35 -0400
I love how Trudeau can’t stop talking while others are.
Income inequality? Socialist idiot. No wonder Trudeau loves China.

10 billion a year is a modest deficit ?
commented 2015-09-17 21:28:06 -0400
Trudeau says he will tax the rich, how will they tax him with his offshore trust fund. The others say that they will increase taxes to have their programs so when a student goes to work after he has his loan his taxes will be higher. Wouldn’t it be nice if the money was in his pocket instead of the government so that they can spend it the way they want.

Roger look up Mulcair in the Lair in the Charbonneau Comm Inquiry in QC. That looks really bad that he sat silent for 17 years until the Inquiry was demanded by QC citizens and Businesses on Corruption.
commented 2015-09-17 21:27:53 -0400
Oh he wants “good” jobs, not dirty pipeline jobs.
commented 2015-09-17 21:27:42 -0400
justin trudumb’s message. I am going to tax the hard working people and reward the lazy then buzz words like “transist” “clean water” “one percent”

Angry Tommy has become a teddy bear, don’t you want to just hug him, squeeze him real tight, so he shuts up.

surprised Trudeau isn’t mentioning anything about investing in the hemp and cannabis industry. That alone can save Canada and the planet. Biodegradable clothing and plastic, resilient ‘hempcrete’, oil/fuel etc etc. Healthcare will save money by growing medicine and it is likely that recreational ‘drug’ users would choose legal herb over harmful alcohol resulting in less health issues across the country.
commented 2015-09-17 21:26:38 -0400
Basic manners Mr. Trudeau: Don’t interrupt when someone is speaking. I’m of Trudeau’s age & I know that!
commented 2015-09-17 21:26:28 -0400
Trudeau says he’s for infrastructure. Except the $6B Northern Gateway Pipeine. And the $12B Energy East Pipeline. That’s a lot of jobs.
commented 2015-09-17 21:26:15 -0400
Public transit for Toronto, what about the rest of the country? What about Sudbury, we get stuck in traffic too.
commented 2015-09-17 21:26:13 -0400
JT wants to turn Canada into another EU. He will never understand that ‘tax, borrow and spend’ doesn’t work. Same for Mulcair. Only Stephen Harper is a trained economist who understands that low taxes grow the economy.
commented 2015-09-17 21:26:09 -0400
Say those words slowly, Tommie, so we can understand them. “Long – term – growth.”
commented 2015-09-17 21:25:55 -0400
Socialist ideology aside….Mulcair sounds like a robot with a slow processor.
In his defense, it’s probably a solar powered processor.

Justine Stewart! Excellent point! Stop the bus!
