Left “lose their marbles” over Ford’s plan for alcohol at corner stores

David MenziesMission Specialist

PC leader Doug Ford had the audacity to suggest that if his party forms the next provincial government, beer and wine will be made available at the corner store.

The response from Premier Kathleen Wynne, NDP leader Andrea Horwath and the president of Mothers Against Drunk Driving and all their useful idiots in the media, was loud and swift.

In a Huffington Post article, Premier Wynne called Ford’s plan “reckless,” because she asks you to imagine a situation where you have marijuana and beer and wine beside the candy bars.

But, Wynne doesn’t have to ask us to imagine such a scenario because it already exists.

Watch as I show you where Ontarians can do exactly that and also point out the hypocrisy of these naysayers.

On the campaign trail both Wynne and Horwath like to say how much they’re all about going to bat for the little guy, claiming Ford’s in the pocket of big business, yet aren’t the operators of these small convenience stores the little guy?

Buying a six-pack at the corner store is not merely the desire of PC Leader Doug Ford, but rather, of so many Ontarians who are sick of being treated like infants when it comes to alcohol.

“Horwath cannot possibly estimate what the costs will be to turn Ontario into a sanctuary province….anyone who says she can is a liar! "

Spot on Tammie but you know the troll[s] will try to con people and will continue to do so until the election. Expect numerous new monikers to appear shortly. As the election draws closer watch the left get more active.

I’ll just point out that Doug Ford voted in favour of turning Toronto into a sanctuary city.

“… Among known platforms, the NDP actually generates the smallest deficit of the three, ….”

LOL!! "

And the PC’s blank piece of paper is somehow an improvement on that?

Doug Ford has promised to
- cut carbon tax
- Cut gas tax
- cut income taxes
- stop collecting Hydro One dividend.

Net revenue loss, circa 6b dollars.

Add that to the 6b “natural deficit” Ontario already runs, plus another billion in declining Federal transfers (Ontario will not receive equalization next year), plus a fair bit of capital spending (also well into the billions), and the PC’s gap is easily ten times the size of the NDP’s one.

His unspecified 4% “efficiencies” cover the existing gap, OR the tax cuts, OR the added spending. Not all three.

So, yeah, the NDP’s 1.4b gap is pretty small by comparison.

Is it not sad when a financial expert is giving the “least eveil” being which of the parties plan will add the “least debt” to the taxpayers?

FAIL: Horwath NDP Made $1.4 BILLION Mistake In Campaign Platform
The Ontario NDP have tried to pass themselves off as a moderate party. But whether it’s an extremist candidate who opposes Remembrance Day and attended ‘Marxism training,’ or wanting to make Ontario a sanctuary province, or this latest huge budget mistake, it’s clear that the NDP is really a far-left, fiscally incompetent party.”

Trivial issue, but one of the few actual platform statements Ford has actually bothered to make.

Nothing on the final Leader debate?
It can be described as TWO SPEND CRAZY WOMEN wanting to spend Billions more in a Province whose Credit card is already over its limit. Meanwhile Ford seemed to just stand there shaking his head, not believing what he was hearing.”

Yeah, Doug does that a lot. He has very strong, and often incorrect, ideas about how things should be. Watch that clip of him being asked how laws get passed – exact same deer-in-headlights scenario where even he realizes he has no idea what’s going on.

I think it’s interesting that people are still projecting financial responsibility on Doug Ford, when he hasn’t released any sort of platform, although he certainly promises to give away money freely, and cut taxes, all paid for by unspecified unicorn-fart “efficiencies” that will somehow be achieved without layoffs. Among known platforms, the NDP actually generates the smallest deficit of the three, since they’re willing to charge taxes to pay for their promises.

Yeah…north of the GTA, you can have an LCBO/beer store at a gas station or convenient store. No apocalypse here yet.

I find it absolutely amazing that the media and the two left wing parties claim that Ford hasn’t released his platform yet, but then they go on to say that he will fire 28,000 nurses and 20,000 teachers. Question is, How do they know that if the platform hasn’t been released? Answer is , they must be telling lies!!!

The left should be concerned over current events happening in Ontario rather than a possible imagined future:

“Opening night of Stratford Festival cancelled, theatre evacuated after ‘bomb threat’”

As some of you know, here in British Columbia we have a healthy mix of private and government run liquor outlets… Thanks to previous “adult” governments… And I can tell you that checking for proof of age is more stringent in the private outlets than ever before due to the fines on any clerk that sells booze to the underaged… Since Ontario does already have alcohol available at convenience stores in smaller communities, this “theatre” is obviously over government run UNIONIZED shops, and Horwath and Winnie The Poo know it…

Keith Barnes, you are so right! Growing up on the farm, I can remember one Friday night, when we realized that we were running out of beer around 11:30 pm & 3 of us guys piled into my father’s 75’ Chevy Pickup with the 350 engine (that had the top of the air cleaner lid flipped over) & doing over 100 MPH down HWY 23 for 25 miles, to try to make the Beer Store on Waterloo Street in London ON, before it closed at Midnight! (It was the only Beer Store that was open till Midnight in the whole area in the early 70’s!)
Needless to say, we didn’t make it due to traffic, but we will have this memory forever. AH, GOOD TIMES!
One of us made a comment last weekend that “Society has taken all the fun out of life, for the current generation”!

Are you going to be able to buy it as long as the store is open? My local Zehrs sells beer but only during beer store hours. I can’t go there at 11:45 pm and buy beer even know they’re open till midnight.

Corner store beer would stop a lot of accidents by drunken drivers. Bunch of guys having a beer when they suddenly realize that they don’t have enough to last them. One guy decides to go for refills, he gets in his car looks at his watch, sh#t it is eight mnutes before closing time, he boots it, keeping an eye out for Cops he dose not notice the red light ahead and…….You no the rest of the story.

Not only that, Ford is promising beer at a buck a bottle and gas for 10 cents a litre less. The horror….the horror…..
