A Saskatoon city councillor’s call to warn refugees about fireworks lest they trigger PTSD in refugees who have fled war-torn areas, raises the question of why the left see refugees as ignorant, fragile snowflakes.
If faith in the common sense of other human beings isn’t enough to stop these overly concerned types, hopefully hearing from someone like Ali Abukar, executive director of the Saskatoon Open Door Society will help. He says the refugees can see that fireworks are celebratory.
There’s no need for all this worry. It’s just another attempt by the left to portray the people they wanted us to bring in as helpless snowflakes in need of our protection.
