Texas Senator Ted Cruz annihilated left-wing website Deadspin on Twitter in the most amazing way possible. In fact, they were posterized.
Deadspin wrote an article asking for pictures of Ted Cruz playing basketball.
The article stated:
“Here at Deadspin.com, there’s nothing we love more than sport. So we were delighted to learn that perpetual failed candidate for president Ted Cruz started a weekly Senate basketball game in hopes of making his colleagues hate him less. Which is great for Ted Cruz, but doesn’t do much for us. We want to right this wrong and share Ted’s love of baskethoop with the world. We want Ted Cruz basketball pics.”
When Deadspin tweeted out the story, Cruz's Twitter account fired back with a picture of Duke University guard Grayson Allen (who looks a bit like Cruz) along with the caption “what do I win?”
That obviously triggered whoever runs the Deadspin twitter account because they replied “Go eat shit.”
Cruz decided to keep it classy and responded with a GIF of Will Farrell’s "Ron Burgundy" saying “Boy, that escalated quickly.”
If it wasn't already obvious, Deadspin was launched by Gawker in 2003. It was then acquired by Univision in August 2016 after Hulk Hogan won his infamous lawsuit against the liberal company.
