Leave it to the left to condemn a military story for promoting the wrong kind of masculinity.
That's what they're doing with Jerry Bruckheimer's new movie, 12 Strong, which tells the true story of America's "horse soldiers" in post-9/11 Afghanistan.
These "progressive" political gripes aside, what is 12 Strong like as a movie?
Parts of it will leave you on the edge of your seat, but unlike the epic Dunkirk, 12 Strong is more of an "intimate" war movie. It's beautiful to watch, with some standout acting.
But the film does have its flaws, as I'll tell you in this review.
