Leitch wants to legalize mace for self defence, and “feminist” Liberals lose it

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Host | The Gunn Show

The feminists in the Liberal Party think it’s sexist to give women tools to protect themselves.

Conservative Leadership Candidate Kellie Leitch announced a policy to revoke the prohibition on using mace and pepper spray for self defence.

Kellie Leitch’s policy isn't concealed carry, but it's a step in the right direction. This is a policy I am all for. I am for macing rapists in the face as a matter of good policy.

But not the Liberals. They don't like Leitch's idea about letting people defend themselves. The Liberals think people, and women, especially be outsourcing their safety to the government.

The Liberal Status of Women Minister, Patti Hadju said:

“Ms. Leitch’s proposal is unrealistic and offensive to women across the country….Her misguided approach places the onus on women to defend themselves rather than focusing on addressing and preventing gender-based violence.”

You know what is offensive to me as a woman? Having some Liberal tell me I’m supposed to have a grown up discussion about gender based violence with my rapist instead of defending myself.

You know how I would address gender based violence? Mace.

Do Liberal feminists believe in my right to choose, or not? Because I want to choose self defence.

Dear feminists: Pick a lane, little ladies.

It would seem that certain Govt. officials have lost their mind. She is playing right into the hands of Muslim extremists; expecting women to cower down and take, without resisting, whatever degenerated treatment they wish to inflict on them. How long is the west going to tolerate this insanity?

The “regressive left,” is a term used in USA to describe Liberals.

Nothing to be suprised about here. Liberals love criminals. Therefore, legalizing pepper spray would make life difficult for the rapist. Don’t want to antagonize their supporters.

To Whomever wrote this. I love love love it.
Can the liberals ever get things right?
What do they do after the rape?
Hug them?

“Why the hell would any politician want their citizens to become a victim of a violent crime.”
  • Because an unarmed man is a subject or slave, an armed man is a citizen with rights he has means to defend – globalists want slaves and subject nations, not empowered citizens;
When your ability to defend yourself from criminals on the street or in government, is gone, so is the rest of your freedom.

Ron kinda like the libtards have paid off the CBC or is that a big lie .

Liebranos like victims. It gives them reason to enact more stupidity to keep themselves in power! Years ago, working in the Security Department of a major Oil Company, part of my mandate was to conduct self defense tactics for the female (or male) employees using everyday items most people have with them each day. In today’s politically correct environment, I would not be allowed to do that, possibly even arrested and charged! After all, we are being constantly told by the Lugenpresse that our attackers are the victims and we should just be “tolerant”!

HYACINTH I am so sorry..!!!! I didn’t realize that was a quote from somebody else until just now..
Again I apologize.
Even In my error none of that was in mean spirit.

Leviticus, how did you get that I’d vote for and that I advocate for Kellie? I did agree with what she said about CBC, but that is it. I quoted what Angela wrote to point out that she has a weapon already for defense if she uses a cane.
You are preaching to the choir, for me she does not represent conservative values, she does not represent my core values nor will she ever. She seems too contrived, fake, cherry picks little things that are designed to elicit a certain response of favoritism towards her. In other words she seems to me to be as genuine as a three dollar bill. I am still up in the air who I prefer to lead the conservatives and hopefully the country next election but rest assured that it is not Kellie.

Again I appeal to you please consider Brad Trost and look at his core values…
I to have a disability and with or without legislation I would defend myself first and look to commonsense from the courts in my judgment.
There is more to it than just allowing pepper spray to be carried as the charter of rights in Canada would have to be changed back to how it was before Pierre Elliot bastardized it many years ago..
We desperately need somebody who’s not afraid to be called names or afraid of damaging their political careers by the liberals and the media for representing the best interest of their nation and its peoples. Brave men and women are hard to find as most politicians in the political arena are quite self serving as a opposed to the selfless and tireless statesman and that iswhat we need right now.One that’s willing to go all the way in spite of the political dangers to right our country’s moral compass and get Canada back on the straight and narrow.!

Kelly Leach is a carbon copy liberal in PC clothing that is literally a clone of Katherine Wynn..
She supports ultra minority fringe groups over mainstream Canadians and she is only grandstanding and trying to gather attention with these little bits and pieces that she says she’s going to do…!!! There is way more to do than just vett immigrants and dismantle the CBC..!! In her own words… She has no intentions of dismantling the CBC as I have an email from her that states that she would dismantle the CBC except for critical programming in French and English… That is not dismantling that is sidestepping an issue and she fully intends to pursue a personal agenda.
There is so many other things to do to fix our broken nation that we need a statesman or states person and somebody that’s willing to go down the politically incorrect Road in spite of the damage it may cost of their career for the good of the country and its people… Brad Trost is such a man. Brad calls out everybody in parliament to please explain the false science of climate change a.k.a. global warming that has been proven to be only a transfer of wealth .
Please check out his website as he is not a career politician..
He is a Saskatchewan Prairie boy and the most common sense down-to-earth man and a personal friend of Brad Wall who is managed to keep Saskatchewan intact from attacks by the federal government while all the other provincial premieres are folding like a cheap suit..
Please do not suggest to put somebody in our federal office that supports the agenda of Katherine Wynn and all she’s done to destroy Ontario through attacks on the family to a very controversial sexual education program written by a convicted pedophile which has been commissioned and in use today supported by Katherine Wynn and her party. There is so much more to say about her but space and time does not permit it but we are all aware of Ontario’s dire straits caused by her and her liberals.
Anybody that supports Bill C 16 is a destroyer of mainstream families.. The less than 1% sodomites in our population do not need or deserve the amount of time and resources and attention that they are getting from the governments the media and certainly our politicians… you may think I have something against the homosexual community but I do not… but they are no where’s near the contributors to society that mainstream people are. There is a larger tax payers base within the non-homosexual majority in this country therefore they deserve more considerations than an ultra minority group that needs to be paid off to be quiet. “The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few”
Please go to Brad Trost’s website and check him out and there is no spin talk in this man as he explains his core values..!!!

“Why the hell would any politician want their citizens to become a victim of a violent crime.”

Why? Look at all the western countries, all are suffering from the same defective logic. It started with the UN back in the sixties and snowballed over the years.

Pierre Trudeau sold Canada down the river and then made it binding with new legislation. His Charter of Rights, passed responsibility from the government to the judicial system to be interpreted as they saw fit, it ended up giving more rights to the perpetrator and removed rights from the victim. Everything wrong in this country can be traced back to Pierre Trudeau and his successive Liberal counterparts and their defective logic – they never consider long term ramifications (the future, like the budget, will take care of itself).

“I have been up in the air in who I would support for the Federal Conservatives but I’m thinking I’m liking Kelly more and more. What she brings is common sense to the fore. Since I have a physical disability, I wouldn’t be able to run from someone who was intent on harming me so I would want to be able to defend myself and rather than a gun, I would prefer mace or pepper spray. That only makes sense.”

Do you walk with a cane Angela? If you do then you have something for defense already, get a nice sturdy cane not the collapsible type, it is more than just a walking aid.

Brent Horton commented -“I swear, all the things that you mentioned are already part of our Criminal Code in Canada.”

Well yes, in fact they are Brent. And these provisions for self defense and citizen arrest reflect the common law rights of our constitutional rule of law. Read The Criminal code sections 34-42 The stumbling block was the legal requirement for “reasonableness” in justify self defense – the police-state agendas of the governments, the police function and the judiciary, “interpreted” what was “reasonable” – and for decades there was essentially NO “reasonable” excuse for armed self defense – essentially irradiating the charter right to life by technically denying self defense at the plea level. ALL justified uses of self defense bring criminal carges to the potential victim.

The Harper government attempted to clarify “reasonable” justification for self defense with this change to the criminal code:

Of course the requirement for “reasonable” apprehension and justification is there again, allowing police and Judiciary to define what “reasonable” is – and we are essentially back to square one with cops charging all self defense cases with assault.

WE need a clear CCC law defining and allowing justified lawful armed self defense and citizen’s arrest – otherwise we live in a police state. ( remember even bear spray or a hat pin or a rock is legally classified as a weapon if used in self defense, making this “ARMED” self defense , by definition)

As a point of interest. You can’t even use passive defense in Canada. Try walking around in body armor or drive an armored vehicle, like a bullet proof car.

Angela watt..
Before you throw your support behind Kelly Leach you may want to know that she supports and voted with the Liberals on bills that affect mainstream Canadians in a negative capacity… like Katherine Wynn in Ontario she is a self-admitted homosexual lesbian sodomite and I’m not sure if that’s in the best interest of our children to have an admitted sodomite moving her personal agenda into mainstream Canada as did Catherine Wynn in Ontario With self entitled fringe groups.
You may want to consider Brad Trost
For the leadership, he is a true conservative and Saskatchewan Prairie boy. He is not progressive..
And represents common sense to his constituents. He as well wants to vett immigrants he voted against the Liberals damning Bill C 16,
As well he represents the majority of Canadians who understands that Canada at 1.5% is not a contributor globally to the false science of CO2 climate change and is fighting against it.. As well he wants to see Canada get back to work and take advantage of our natural resources in the international market.

I have always told my wife, my daughter and any of our female friends that they should carry and use pepper spray in the case of an attack. I’ve told them that we would face the consequences after the fact, but at least they would be alive and well when we face the asinine law of not being able to carry and use pepper spray on human dogs about to attack
I worked at and managed a retail sport store for 15 years. We specialized in hunting and fishing and one of the products we carried was Pepper spray. The product came in two sizes, the large bottle was mainly called ‘Bear spray’ and was very potent, the smaller bottle that fit nicely into ones hand was called ‘Dog spray’ and sold to people walking their dogs who were afraid of other bigger or more aggressive dogs attacking little Fido, it was less potent than the bear spray but still would give a human dog something to think about when sprayed in the face. That’s the one I recommended to ladies.
The law banning the use of Mace or Pepper Spray never made any sense to me, but of course was a Liberal anti-self-defense law.
The Liberals and more so the police absolutely hate the fact that you and I want to and will defend ourselves. Well I have news for them.

Why the hell would any politician want their citizens to become a victim of a violent crime. Let that soak in for a minute. My right as a human being is to have the ability to protect my very own sovereignty. Not to be butchered and left lying in the street or worse yet in the comfort of my own home. A can of mace? It’s nonleathal!!! A .357 hammerless tucked away safely in a purse pocket is good insurance and a piece of mind. Along with my home defence strategy, I also own a shovel.

Since I have a physical disability, I wouldn’t be able to run from someone who was intent on harming me so I would want to be able to defend myself and rather than a gun, I would prefer mace or pepper spray. That only makes sense.

And as for vetting immigrants, what is so wrong with that? Only the left would construe that as “racist” or bigoted when its about neither. It is simply common sense to ensure that people who want to immigrate to this country are doing so for the right reasons. Mind you, with the lefties, we’re already well on the way to destroying this country from within by brainwashing our children and young adults in higher learning to oppress and marginalize people who don’t agree with them. The left do not want a democracy; they want to enforce a fascist ideology which, historically, has never worked.

As for the reason why Kelly is garnering so much media attention it’s because they think she’s some sort of “evil incarnate”. By condemning her they’re hoping that the ROC won’t pay any attention to her because she is so “out there” when, in fact, she likely is saying what most Canadians are thinking but are either too polite to admit or, more likely feel too intimidated to express freely which truly unfortunate.

What with Justin calling himself a feminist would he be willing to give up his armed security? Is Ms. Hadju offended by the Parliament Building having armed security?

LEVITICUS asks “Why is Brad Trost being overlooked by the media and Kelly Leach is getting all the media attention.??”. One can ask the same of the Rebel. Because Ezra is enamoured by Leitch’s hype for screening for Canadian values or because the Leitch campaign has paid advertising at the Rebel site?

An excellent common sense approach from Kellie Leitch. In the mean time Wasp spray is a very effective self defense mechanism.

Of course, a twelve guage is also a great attention getter as well.

Justin will take off his shirt and ride in on his white pony, manes on both of them flowing in the wind, to rescue all the fair (but equal) maidens in distress by their CIS-gendered white oppressors! No need for mace with him on duty!

If they don’t want to carry mace no one is forcing them to but what gives them the right to choose for everyone else and would it help them to not politicize the issue if some men bought some too because I was thinking of getting one for Jimmy Reese for Christmas. LOL

The feminist Leftists think women should just lay back while being raped and murdered and enjoy it of awhile and just wait, in case the police arrive early .
Get the mace, carry it and protect yourself.

Keith Barnes said..
“This would mean that the most vigorous Rapists in the Country, Muslims, would also have access to these chemicals, creating a ’who’s quickest on the draw’ situation”.
The problem with that kind of thinking is how we found ourselves in the spot where we no longer have the right to defend ourselves against any kind of force including lethal… what’s next Keith, mace and pepper spray free zones..??? Responsible people can carry anything to defend themselves and nobody is at risk, and bad guys will always have illegal weapons to cause harm. Taking away the means, rights and abilities of defending oneself has never taken one offensive weapon out of the hands of criminals.!!
Gun control doesn’t work, gun safe zones don’t work, the only thing that works is personal protection when the authorities aren’t able to help you.!!
When seconds count the police are only minutes away.!!
