Liberal Party facing little resistance on road to Canada-wide hate registry

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

There are a lot of important things going on in the world right now, from the G-20 meetings in Japan to the Democratic Party's 2020 nomination race.

There's lots to talk about in Canada, too. The legality of the carbon tax is being heard in courts, and Catherine McKenna thinks that she can scold her way through defending it.

The world is full of news, but I truly believe the most pressing topic is the stampede towards censorship in Canada and in other parts of the world. The only democracy in which freedom of speech is slipping away faster right now is in New Zealand, and it's infecting other countries. In particular, the extreme censorship in the Christchurch Call.

Earlier this week I showed you the speech by the United Nations Secretary General António Guterres who called for global monitoring of social media and tech and a crack-down on what they consider to be hateful. They don't have an objective definition for hateful material, but they do know that anything contrary to the UN is hateful.

Our friend James O'Keefe over at Project Veritas released videos of Google executives talking about their plan to use their massive control over the Internet to fight against Trump's election in 2020. It doesn't sound like these being tech companies need a lot of pressure from the UN or New Zealand to crack down.

But it must be said that Justin Trudeau is in the first rank of censors around the world.

Let me show you some new items, starting with a report from Public Safety under cabinet minister Ralph Goodale. It was put together by the Canada Centre for Community Engagement and Prevention of Violence.

I read the whole thing.

Nowhere does it mention real threats — nothing about Islamic extremism, or the 100+ ISIS terrorists who picked up their lives in Canada to head to Syria to commit war crimes. Nothing about radical mosques.

Here's what's in the document:

Education of leaders. Education of service providers who work with youth. More control over the media (that's to say, more control over us). More control over social media and “hate inciting communications” therein.

Like with the United Nations, there is no definition for these terms. And that means that the Liberal Party can define these terms as they wish. And Justin Trudeau deeply, deeply hates The Rebel.

Recently we put together a petition at StopSection13.com, where we've been tracking the re-installation of section 13 of the Canada Human Rights Act under the Liberal-run Justice Committee. This committee is chaired by Liberal MP Anthony Housefather, who has been telling media that there's an “incredible gap” on the data collection of “hateful content,” otherwise known as words.

Not only is Housefather past pretending that this is about real crime or real assaults anymore, but the Conservatives are deaf to media requests asking for their opinions. MP Lisa Raitt is the Conservative Party's justice critic, and she's not returning calls about this legislation.

The Conservatives have committed to small measures, but there have been no speeches, no public comments defending free speech. Not one email to Canadians, not one peep in Parliament.

We're in trouble, folks.

NEXT: Breitbart's senior tech correspondent Allum Bohkari calls in to talk about possible political answers to addressing censorship under big tech companies.

Al Peterson-
Nit witz are easy to brainwash.
I’m proud no matter who is in office because I know the people that live here AREN’T dysfunctional dingbats that constantly result to violence to keep the fabric of society in a perpetual tear. That’s a Left tactic. Divide & conquer.
Scheer is more scared infront of a camera than Trudeau. Let’s see him fold faster than Superman on laundry day when the Rebel hunts him down for questions.
See, I don’t need to fire off a gun to feel better, using your wits make you feel better. Politics is a game of wits that the chickens claim foul when mouthed over.
You need to ask questions like an auctioneer to unravel them. That’s all it takes to undo a gov’t. Its a chain reaction.
You can sulk and go into the bush to kill something to feel better, sure. That’d make me feel better too.
But its not getting work done.
Everytime you don’t go the source to ask a question, you loose the game of Chicken in politics.
Our polite attitude of constantly saying “Thank you” and “I’m sorry” has become the ultimate politically correct discourse in Canadian politics.
I don’t give a flying frig if all those MP’s secretly get along when the clock is up.
I care what they fight for. If they’re all too comfortable because they think they’re poop doesn’t stink because nobody wants to ask questions, that’s on us. And we’re dumb enough to take it if we let Trudeau convince us he has the power to do so.
There’s me rant.
Happy Canada Day.

Al Peterson: totally agree,I just might pull the rifle out tomorrow as well and do some target shooting!!!
commented 2019-06-30 15:04:00 -0400
Sheldon, I plan to celebrate my remaining freedoms by taking my rifle out and doing some long distance shooting. I’d take my pistol out but in this country that might get me a 10-er in the slammer for shooting out in the bush where there are no banks or schools to shoot up. But I can take a 50 BMG and that’s fine. For now.

If I lived 35 minutes further south I would be in North Dakota where I could shoot a pistol on my own land or in the bush or concealed carry. Must be nice to experience real freedom where you aren’t treated like a child and an imbecile by the National Child and Imbecile himself.

Al Peterson,
You’re not being fair. Canada has been lobotomized since Pierre Trudeau wrote that token charter with the first clause to begin with.
Karen, I gave no time frame for it happening. No argument form me. I remember when I was a kid in the 1967 Centennial year how proud I was of being a Canadian. That slowly has eroded to the lobotomy point. I’m thankful to be a Canadian but proud? Not so much.

If we’re not reaching people, then we are to blame.
You can lead a nit wit to water but you can’t make herz drink. I take no responsibility for the willful blindness of others. Andrew would be a case in point. And John Wick.

Why doesn’t Ezra hunt down Scheer for an interview like Keenan would hunt down a crooked congress woman?
Too high and mighty we think ourselves?
Sounds hypocritical.

Al Peterson,
You’re not being fair. Canada has been lobotomized since Pierre Trudeau wrote that token charter with the first clause to begin with.
Honestly, nobody wants to be Canadian anymore. Everyone wants to be American.
But the USA won’t even take Canadian refugees anymore.
Why should they? This is our turf so we clean it up.
If we’re not reaching people, then we are to blame.
Honestly, the state has no business in the bedrooms of the nation is about to be undone with tech going where it is.
You want an uprising? Do it the old fashion way, go out an solicit signatures for a petition. Go be visible. Try to get in Scheer’s face the same way anybody will tell Trudeau to “shove it”.
I’m sure that would get attention.

Andrew, celebrating Canada Day is like celebrating having had a lobotomy. Yes, it is one of the best countries on earth but that is being damned by faint praise. Compared to what? Saudi Arabia? Germany? England? Sweden? France?…………….

Al, At least the people of England Germany and France are beginning to understand what is being done to them. The majority of Canadians still think they are on hay ride, when in fact, they are on a SLAY ride.
Compliments of the bastard son of a bastard.

David M. Haskell: Attacks on Freedom of Conscience & Speech in Canada

This is not for Andrew, it’s too long.
Andrew doesn’t watch or read anything that would be contrary to herz position. Why take the risk of having to face the truth when one is dedicated to believing and disseminating lies?

Andrew, celebrating Canada Day is like celebrating having had a lobotomy. Yes, it is one of the best countries on earth but that is being damned by faint praise. Compared to what? Saudi Arabia? Germany? England? Sweden? France? Then yes we are slightly better than them. But we are a faint shadow of our former selves.

And by what yardstick are we going to measure this “greatness”? Not freedom of speech. Not freedom of thought. Not freedom of possessions. Not freedom of association. Not justice. Not freedom of any kind except to change your mind on your gender 10 x a day.

Happy Lobotomy Day! Celebrate our mediocrity.

Where is Scheer on this and other matters?
Will he turn back the legislations that are targeting the oil patch?
Will he reverse this latest attempt to remove our right to free speech?
Will he stop foreign interference in our Canadian elections and the influx of ‘green’ dollars being used by the radical greens to destroy our economy?

We elected a child of the world in fact rejected by the world who then turtles into his selfishness by thinking he has the divine right to rule.
He claims sympathy for the little guy, but rather loves the so called “victims” as long as it makes him a hero to glorify himself further.
He can’t face the truth he came from something so loveless. Instead of learning love, he choose never to open up to how love is earned for himself & others.
Where is the admiration for someone who works hard everyday to earn love through school or via a paycheque rather than some who shows up, claims victimhood willy nilly and demands you pay a price for it?
That’s what Trudeau thinks. He thinks we owe him because he showed up, claims victimhood of the political environment and we owe him respect on his loveless terms.
Respect is a series of little sacrifises born out of love & expressed through compassion.
He’s lucky he is baptized so Christ can help him on his way when a world cannot.
He’s not a child of the greatness of the world, he’s a child of our own making.
Its time we help him grow up. Perhaps through tough love.

@Andrew . . . . “Greatest Nation on Earth” . . . is south of the 49th Parallel where Free Speech & the right to Bear Arms is still the law! Canada is in Decline . . .

Trudope’s Canada is morphing into a fascist state . . . speech suppression, hate laws and gun confiscation are the realm of despots & dictators!
The senile fool from Saskatchewan, too long serving Goodale, is dangerous to the well-being of Canadian Citizens.

Izzzlam is “Colonizing” the Western Democracies . . . this is not going to end well !

Politicians like this would blow bureaucrats like Anthony Horse nonsense right out of the water. Note for liberals, figuratively speaking of course.
